A&W is generally one of our reliable fast food outlets - not this time. My hubby and I were there at 6pm - only one other gentleman seated and eating. The upper area was chaired off and someone was cleaning the tables. We walked to the front till...and waited. No one else in the place. 3 young females standing back by the drive thru window area all chatting in a foreign language. We attempted to make eye contact - but were ignored. A male worker came to the till, collected something from under the counter and then turned to go. He must have seen our unhappy faces as he then spoke to the girls (in a foreign language) and one came over to take our order. She then entered too many items in our order and I had to ask to have the additional item to be removed. I left my hubby at the counter to wait for the food and I went to get a table. I walked by 7 tables - all empty - all dirty. We found one semi clean and by this time the food was ready and we sat to eat. Our food tasted like it had just been reheated and not fresh. I did not watch them cook it, so this is only a guess by the taste and dried condition of the bun and onion rings. We then watched another lady and gentleman enter the building - he went to the counter, she came back to get a table - and just like us, walked from one table to the next trying to find a clean one. We made a comment to her that we had the same issue and she stated "terrible, isn't it?" This was a bad experience from the get go to finish. One of our landmarks going down the drain in customer service and quality.

Got a large chocolate milkshake. Not even full and I'm pretty sure it was only crushed ice and chocolate milk. 5.50 with tax what a joke.
This a and w is in need of a renovation. Felt like I got transported back to the 80s upon stepping in. Food was good.

We stopped only for a drink and a quick bit to eat. The place was not that busy - hardly many people in the restaurant - but yet it was very, very dirty. I ordered poutine - which was actually almost inedible - gravy was sitting at the bottom of cold fries and cold curds - very disappointed. Plus we wanted a frozen rootbeer as we had seen it advertised and had a coupon for it. It was NOT available. This restaurant is a usual stop on our way home from out west - not any more.
