Next Door Cocktail Lounge & Pt

stopped in on our road trip home from Alberta. Probably the best idea of the day! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. All the staff was very friendly and while there was an issue with the computer, the staff quickly notified us and honestly, we received our food in no time at all (we wouldn't even have known there was an issue if we weren't informed). we would definitely eat here again next time we visit Swift Current. Great food, Great staff, 10/10!

I definitely do not recommend this restaurant. The food was below average, but not terrible. It was disappointing. The calamari was rubbery. The “Greek salad” was overly salty and was covered in shredded cheese (not feta cubes), and mixed with what appeared to be green pepper and white onion toppings for a pizza. The souvlaki chicken was ok, if not a little dry. I very rarely mention these kinds of things to the server, but I felt it could have been better. When I told our server about our concerns in a very polite manner, she sort of shrugged, as if agreeing with our opinion. BUT, THE WORST PART WAS THE OWNER REACTION. He practically stormed over to our table and quickly became very defensive. He said they were not really classified as a Greek restaurant despite the menu items. He went on to “explain” to me that a real Greek salad was a Horiatiki salad. He further said their restaurant had been in business since 1962 and that they needed to save money on ingredients. At no time did he apologize for our experience. His response to our comments was inexcusable. He could have simply apologized and said good night, but chose to tell me how wrong I was and “educate” me.
