The Shrimp Dock – Alcoa/Maryville

Finally tried the shrimp dock and it did not disappoint. so so so good can't wait to go back and try more. the boom boom shrimp tacos, fried artichokes and potato salad are delicious. my husband got the stir fry and loved it 🤩🤩

Tried to order crawfish at the Alcoa location, didn’t know they had it already prepared in the season I wanted and the man I talked to was extremely rude about it. Was going to be a first time customer, will NOT purchase from there.

The Alcoa Shrimp Dock is by far the best of all three, the crew will help and advise when needed, I went yesterday to purchase some salmon to grill and the guys let me know that after a holiday was not the bet time and to wait for a next day delivery.

Headed that way in an hour, it is a 25 mile drive and well worth it for great seafood - try the crab legs - fantastic!!! UPDATE 03/28/25 still great heading there in a few minutes for some fantastic seafood !!!

Food was bland. No wait staff. Overpriced.

Oh my goodness! This restaurant has the most delicious fish. It was like eating at a high end gulf restaurant. You will be amazed. I recommend you try this place, you won't be disappointed.

Fresh cold crisp raw oysters from PEI with lunch in maryville? Yes please.
The grouper plate was also super fresh never frozen.

As a 3rd gen native floridian, i know my seafood. This is impressive level of fresh in greater knoxville.

No complaints. I expect to spend the money being land locked, but its worth it.

Giving credit to Mona. Every time she has waited on me, she’s always friendly and can answer and question I have promptly. She always has a smile and has customer service down pat. We love the food and the store is always clean. Keep up the great work Mona and the rest of the crew. Your amazing. Wish all restaurants were like you all.

Set down and have a well cooked meal or take home fresh seafood and cook it yourself. Either way you can’t beat The Shrimp Dock.

Great options, however they should work on there seafood boil and work on there butter garlic sauce and if someone says they want heat then it should be a dash and should be mixed with the sauce, not be so HOTT that it’s not edible.

(Ask storming crab)how they make there sauce and how they mix it all together, like your corn,potatoes,sausage,etc.

So not to compare, but for those who live in maryville/Alcoa and don’t want to drive to Knoxville and want to give there business to (the shrimp dock ),then let them give us some butter garlic sauce with old bay and or some heat.

Grilled shrimp seasoned and cooked perfectly, chunky potato salad with a delightful twist of low heat, and greens that tasted like someone's very best effort at the family reunion. Came here hungry on a whim, left happy and wishing I had come here last week instead of a more prestigious place in town. Mona greeted me with a smile and guided me through the different offerings. I can't wait to travel back through and try some more of their other selections of fresh fish and seafood. Low key, simple and very reasonable.

Cod was way overcooked. Probably not returning.
