“Atlanta, GA native here. I was up here for Tougefest and had to find myself a bite to eat. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the nostalgic decor and atmosphere. Classic 50s style diner that serves amazing burgers. I ordered the 11oz Rueban burger with onion rings. Patty was delicious and flavorful. The corned beef was also very flavorful and was a bit crispy. It went perfectly with the sauerkraut and thousand island dressing. The onion rings were big, crispy and very flavorful batter as well. This place has some of the best burgers I've had in years. I can't wait for the next time I come to town!”
“Visited this location before dropping off a friend to the airport nearby. They are locals and always go to this pub before hitting the Knoxville airport to depart, they are never disappointed! As first-time visitors, we now understand why. Not everything was pictured because we jumped in, but we had the crispy brussel sprouts and pimento cheese appetizers. If only brussel sprouts could always taste that good!! Highly recommend and the pimento cheese is a sweet, warm touch with little toast pieces to spread across. The cajun pasta with chicken added was creamy, had a nice flavorful kick that was not overwhelming, and was light, not too heavy. Others in my party had great entrees, including the baja tacos, chicken n waffles, and philly cheesesteak flatbread. So, you probably won't go wrong or be disappointed with whatever you order! Our waitress Hana was very attentive. Had a good Moscow Mule from the bar (there is also a Kentucky Mule with bourbon instead) and the espresso martini is reportedly very strong, not quite what my friend wanted before jumping on a plane, but flavor wasn't bad.”
“This place Rocks!! So good! Awesome Pizza! The slices are ssssoooo large! The sodas are unique and tasty! The cheese log is the size of your forearm! Enjoy this place!”
“Tortilla chips were fresh, which is always appreciated. The house salsa was better than average. I find most to be a little bland. They do have a house hot sauce, which I always order, which kicks up my entree a notch. Prices were standard for the area.”
“Chicken shawarma sandwich was really good. Service was fast and good. The only downside was that they didn’t have bathrooms, the only bathroom was for employees. Lot of paid parking spots but the one across was almost $20 for 2 hours with no choice for less. The other one was 11 for 2 dollars. This has nothing to do with the restaurant or its food quality.Parking: Parking is a $10 - $20 for 2 hours minimum”
“I really enjoyed my boneless wings, fried pickles and potato salad. Unfortunately the peanut butter pie came out still frozen and hurt our teeth it was so cold. My wife likes her mushroom burger but the garlic Parm fries come with a wet sauce that made the fries soggy. Overall not a bad place for a meal. Our server Katie W was fantastic!”
“Calzones! My no 1 pizza place too. Delicious. Worth going off the beaten path for and it's easy to get to once you've done it. Then again, if you like chain places, you shouldn't be reading this.”
“Great burgers, fries and I love the Root Beer!! Cod Sandwich is amazing. Mine was so good, I forgot the befoe picture... ???Great service, we make a trip from South Knox and will make many more!!”
“A real local hang out. The place is in desperate need of an update BUT the food is great, the service is excellent, and the prices are quite reasonable. It sure beats all the chain places for breakfast.”
“Always a delicious pizza but always soft in the middle I wish there was someway they could crisp up that middle part of the crust they do make great pizza and employees are friendly we have been going there for 15 ”
“We arrived in the worst snow event in many years while waiting to pick up a friend from the airport. Staff worked really hard and customers kept coming because no other restaurants were open. Our waitress really tried hard, but she was stretched very thin. Food was very good.”
“We love soup kitchen! Haven't had a bad soup yet! The lunch special is a great value! Soup, grilled cheese, pickle and a bag of chips for $7!? You can't get that anywhere. Made from scratch too! I always try a different soup and there is plenty to choose from. The staff is friendly and the dinning area is always tidy. The Mexican corn bread is AMAZING!”
“Loud. Fairly long wait, 20 to 30 minutes.Atmosphere excessively noisy due to children.Food not sizzling hot.No offer for another drink.Parking: New store with sparse parking.”
“Had the Veggie Sandwich with potato salad for lunch today. Ummm good! Loved the crisp vegetables especially avocado, sliced tomato and cucumber slices. Bell pepper slices were also tasty as was the bread. Not sure what red powder was sprinkled on the potato salad but it all tasted good. Zingy tasting dill pickle was good also.Vegetarian options: Veggie spuds and Veggie sandwich.”
“Fantastic BBQ! I would post a pic but I ate it too quick :) Wonderful owners too - loved hearing how their business got started. I got the brisket meal with mac & cheese and hushpuppies and all was delish!”
