“First subway to understand the word light mustard usually when I say light mustard I still get 3 to 4 lines of mustard which is ridiculous even for regular mustard but this subway finally got it right so I can actually taste the other items in my sandwich”

“I’ve eaten at JC Holdway many of times over the last 4 years with my last visit being earlier this week. The food has always been delicious but this last visit exceeded expectations. We were so excited to eat we didn’t even get pictures of our food.
Of course the food was fresh and local but all elements of every dish we ate were executed at such high levels it blew my wife and I away. From creativity in plating to salt levels and acidity. Our dinner was phenomenal. Thank you to Chef Lenn and the whole team in the kitchen and at front of house.

What we ate:
Smoked fish dip (ask for extra chips if you run out before your dip is gone)
Pork belly biscuits (must order)

Grilled shrimp (my favorite)
Carrots (could have eaten 2 orders of this)

Chicken (stole the show)
Pork chop (amazing flavor)

“I enjoyed the special vegan menu. I went here just for the vegan chef challenge and ordered all the items. Everything was very good. The appetizer was good, but hard to mess up fried food. The dip could use something to flavor it. Like dill or chives. I had issues with the burger bc it was bland. Took it home so I can add condiments. It was strange not having ketchup or mustard for the burger. Also not enough pickles on the burger. The bean patty was falling apart. Kind of hard to eat. Definitely, need some panko or bread crumbs to help hold it together. Otherwise everything was greats. I do wish the chocolate cake had a lot more cherries on top. Bc I absolutely love cherries.

It was clean and the waitresses we very friendly and polite. Parking is a bit challenging and getting there is hard as a disabled person.”

My Sweetheart companions had the chorizo tacos and another the grouper. I appreciated the interior, a great swanky decor and comfortable booth. I am an oyster lover.”

“We stumbled upon this place while we were looking for a local place to grab breakfast. You do want to be there early as it is a first come, first serve - one man shop. “Highly recommend, the House Bread Board is a beautiful start, this is a quaint little place off of Kingston Pike and by the railroad tracks, which has a lot of incredible history for the railways in Knoxville, definitely try to make reservations if you plan on going.
