I’m from California and am a tour driver. I’m always on the look out for great and unique Mexican food. Los Portales definitely fits that bill. Great margaritas and really delicious food. The owner is super nice and now I’ve eaten here a couple of times. I’m in Nashville often and I will definitely be back!
This place is under new management and they are so nice and the menu is different than your average Mexican restaurant. Good options for kids. Give them a chance if you’ve written them off in the last.

We vowed after our visit last year we would never be back. However, we saw the sign there was new management so we thought we would give it another try. I am so glad we did. It was absolutely AMAZING! The service was outstanding and the food was better than it ever was (better than any of the previous owners). The pricing was very reasonable and they even have food and drink specials through the dinner rush. I highly recommend. If you have ever had a bad experience before I strongly suggest you give it another try. You will be glad you did!!

Ordered on Uber eats. Food was bland and barely had seasoning. They forgot the lettuce and steak for the taco salad. Gave us chips and no salsa. I had to add seasoning to all the meat on everyone’s entree. Mexican egg rolls were not good. I will not be ordering here again.
