“The food and service at Abem Ethiopian restaurant is amazing!! We were craving Ethiopian food after having moved to TN from the San Francisco Bay Area and didn’t mind the 1.5hour drive after experiencing a selection of dishes at Abem. We enjoyed a large salad, veggie combo and doro tibs which we shared and still had leftovers to enjoy at home. Any time we’re anywhere near Nashville we stop at Abem. This is a family owned business operated with love. Hope you enjoy it, too.”

“Such a wonderful experience! The coffee was absolutely delicious, and the bread was fresh and so good. Everything we tried was great. The service was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back!
One small thing — our order was supposed to come with watermelon, but we were missing one piece. Hopefully the restaurant can pay a little more attention to this next time. Other than that, everything was wonderful!”

“Saw a review of Everest Restaurant and Bar and saw they served Nepali, Indian, and Bhutanese cuisines. I’ve never had Nepali food and looked forward to learning how different it was from Indian foods. My server Sushmita took my drink order, and I wanted to try a Gorkha Beer from Nepal. Sadly, they were out of Gorkha so I went with Taj Mahal beer from India…a very good lager. I wanted to try a variety of different items and informed Sushmita my spice level was mild, so I ordered the following: Chicken Momo JHOL. I’m still not sure if this is a soup or a dumpling stew. The Momo are pretty big, and there were eight of them in this dish. I would rank this “soup” as one of the best soups I’ve ever enjoyed and would order this again and make this my meal! The Lamb Thali is a platter made up of several different dishes which are supposed to create a balanced meal. I cannot remember what Sushmita called each little cup of food or sauce on the tray but the lamb was to be eaten with one, two, or many of the side sauces or garnishments. The lamb was slightly overcooked but wasn’t tough and overall this was still a good dish and an experience in itself. I did figure out the small round ball is the dessert item called Gulab Jamun…OMG it was rich, sweet, and delicious. The place is not much to look at on the inside but it is clean, and while Sushmita and I may have experienced some communication issues, she took great care of me. There are a few more interesting noodle dishes here I would love to try on my next visit.”

He really took time to chat with us, told us a little bit about the S&H story and I can def see why he and his partners/business is so successful! “This is a Venezuelan style steak house and it was amazing! A true hidden gem. I had the filet, at the table we had two burgers, and the grilled shrimp- everyone enjoyed their food (which is rare lol) - I asked them to butterfly my filet, and it was fantastic. In fact, it was so good that my little daughters kept eating it.
We finished with the chocolate cake, and that was great too.”

“The last time I went to Starwood was almost 4 yrs ago when I moved to Nashville. Back then the ownership was someone different and the food was awful.
Now, as of last night, the food is very good. Although I like to enjoy my wings a little more done, the Mango Habanero and Garlic Parmesan wings are impressive. They are really juicy and have a multitude of flavor. The Manager really respects law enforcement which I appreciate. In full uniform, you don’t know what you’ll walk into out in Antioch to pick up food to say the least because of all the “bad apples.” Security was gracious enough to walk with me in there.
The only thing I would say, if you don’t mind people smoking around you indoors you’ll be okay here. Unfortunately, as a person who wears contacts, the smoke doesn’t mix well with me.
Other than that, I highly recommend this place who really enjoys great wings.”

Pull up to 1135 Bell Rd in Antioch and yeah — it looks like a strip mall spot with faded signage and a parking lot that’s seen better days. Walk in and it still looks like 2003 in there. And then the food hits.

All-you-can-eat Mediterranean buffet for $17–18 a person. Let that sink in. Gyros, shawarma, rice, all the mezze — fresh, flavorful, and absolutely loaded. This is not reheated cafeteria food. This is someone’s grandmother’s recipe being generous with the seasoning generous. We went for lunch on a Saturday and left in a food coma we did not regret.

The ambiance is what it is — dated, family-style, no-frills. Think less “trendy Nashville hotspot” and more “neighborhood spot where the regulars know what’s up.” Honestly? That’s part of the charm. This is a hidden gem in the truest sense.

If you’re the type to skip a place based on the exterior, you’re going to miss one of the best-value meals in the Nashville area. Don’t be that person.
Go hungry. Leave happy.

“As someone who doesn't eat red meat, it is often hard to find good BBQ that isn't chicken as an option. The turkey was tender and MOIST. The "fries" were so tasty I would be happy to eat them as a meal.”

“Fantastic tacos, great service, and they liquor store nearby had a great tequila selection. Wish I knew about this place earlier.
Tortillas are grilled lightly, cilantro and onions are a bit light, but the addition of their grilled onions and jalapeños make up for that. Green salsa is flavorful, red is good too.
Pastor was the best. Great flavor and textures. Loved it. Asada and chorizo were both solid, good additions. The carnitas was not to my liking as it was more just pulled pork, there was no crisp on any part of it. Flavor was missing. Not the strong point- but everything else was great.
Covered seating and plenty of parking. Great prices.”

Unfortunately, I couldn't order everything all at once so I decided on the Loroco con Queso, Revueltas, and Queso con Frijoles Pupusas, which was served with a spicy vinegar-based slaw. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes are as good as most regular sit down restaurants.While you order from the Roost counter, you will pay at the 7 eleven register from a order receipt. He literally runs that whole place by himself. I’m seriously always impressed by him and hopefully he’s getting all his tips and not sharing it with the nuisance/ eye sore that sits behind the counter stuffing her face while scrolling on her phone constantly in front of customers. She’s so rude and has terrible customer service skills. I come here pretty often and she’s always behind the counter doing the same sh’t. When I have to go to the counter to pay, she never acknowledges or even gets her face out of the phone to speak to me for two seconds. I’m in the food business, so I am all about good customer service and handling the tasks professionally. I’m a good tipper and I expect it to be worth it in all aspects. Again, Food is great.
