I was not disappointed.it's a small, happy looking building. at 1p on a Friday there were plenty of tables available for my buddy and i. it's open seating so we grabbed a table and the waitress brought us menus.i ordered the signature waffle taco and a cup of coffee. coffee was excellent, and the food was served promptly and it was hot.the waffle taco was flavorful and the standard street taco sauces served with it were excellent. she brought some syrup, but i chose not to add it as i don't really have a sweet tooth. my buddy's order came with a spicy red sauce that was just awesome, wish I'd had it with mine.only downside is that the waitress took too long to get back to checking on us so my coffee sat empty for awhile, but i can let that slide as she was friendly and prompt with everything else.overall this is a great little hidden gem and i highly recommend it.“

“We found this little spot and it was packed with locals. We waited in line and boy was it worth the quick wait! An iced chai, some amazing coconut cookies and some shortbread cookies were our order. “Stopped in Nashville on the way to Panama City Beach. Stumbled across this place by chance, but we were delighted by the cleanliness & cuteness of the place , the staff is very positive and helpful!! Ordered double shots of espresso and some breakfast , which looks delish. Bathroom were extremely clean! They have a really nice outdoor area with tables and cute lights. “This was one of the favorite parts of the trip to Nashville. The food was absolutely top notch and the atmosphere was super welcoming and friendly. There was a musician playing jazz during breakfast and the owner made visits out to speak with everyone and thank them for coming. The restaurant is very community oriented and philanthropic. I never go to a restaurant more than once in a row while on a trip and we went here everyday. We were with a group of 8 and everyone loved this place. “Outstanding. We ordered two vegan plates and 6 lentil sambusas. Phone ordering was extremely easy. When I arrived she already had the plates boxed up and pulled the sambusas. They were hot and crispy, and she left the paper bag open so they wouldn't get soft (a wonderful attention to detail!). The person I picked up from was so nice to interact with. She said she was not the owner, but the cook. I was captivated by her passion for quality and cooking good food from scratch, cutting no corners.When I got home and dug into the plate, I could see that it was beautifully and carefully presented. I expected collard greens (gomen) on the plate. Usually they are cooked to death. Ok, that's fine, I live in the south, I am used to this. But this is the first time the gomen (Collard Greens) still had their vibrant green color! And yet, they were perfectly cooked! I took one bite and thought, these greens are fresh... and they are cooked by someone who knows how to cook greens! And then next bite, the cabbage (Atakilt Wat). Unlike the greens, the cabbage had been cooked thoroughly until it was meltingly tender and full of flavor. It was exquisite. It reminded me of my mother's.The meal was little more expensive than other places I have been, but it was absolutely worth it. I have had a lot of Ethiopian food in the past in much larger cities than Nashville. We didn't get coffee, but we all ordered the breakfast plate with scrambled eggs, bacon, and sourdough. The sourdough was great, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. The bacon, however, was the star of the show! So thick and flavorful. It also came with a side of smoked Gouda grits, which weren't great as they had a very gummy texture and lacked seasoning. Make sure you start with the hacienda, since it's a limited edition item.“

“We love cafe India! I love the fact that it's a mix between southern Indian and northern Indian food. Most people don't realize that there's a difference between the regions food, but we travel to and from India a lot, and have come to discover that there's a difference. Thankfully, they have both. They are super friendly, and if you greet them with , Namaste or Vanakkam, they love that ! It's always pretty clean. The only reason for the four stars is that this last time we went in it seemed like the portions got smaller, but prices got a bit higher. “Portland Brew East is Nashville Native Approved. It is a great little spot to go and work for a few hours or just have a chill morning. The black coffee is very good. I always get dark and it has a perfect flavor packed punch. The staff has always been very kind to me, too. If you sit outside you will see multiple dogs walk by, as it has a very homey location between the Eastwood and Lockland Springs neighborhoods. Plenty of street parking in every direction and a paid parking lot in back, that you probably wont need to use.“

She helped me pick out a an IPA Draft and a recommended one of her favorite sandwiches(The Club w side of Brussel sprouts) The sandwich was excellent and the sprouts were baked perfect with a sweet caramelized drizzle. There was a very easy vibe with sports on the TV's and music in the background. The decor of this place is a mix of movies,music and sports icons that is unique and fun. (Love the Ric Flair Robe!)
