We were craving Ethiopian food after having moved to TN from the San Francisco Bay Area and didn’t mind the 1.5hour drive after experiencing a selection of dishes at Abem. We enjoyed a large salad, veggie combo and doro tibs which we shared and still had leftovers to enjoy at home. Any time we’re anywhere near Nashville we stop at Abem. This is a family owned business operated with love. Hope you enjoy it, too.“

“I always take a trip to this Starbucks when I get my truck serviced next door at the dealership. The staff is amazing, efficient, and the store is effectively ran. “I Love This Dunkin!!! The Night Crew Are My People. I literally visit at least 5 times a week. They're always helpful and willing to fix my order if something is wrong. Tgis location is nothing like other Dunkins. Definitely 5 star at night.“

“Super tasty bacon egg and cheese breakfast taco. It’s approx 5 inch x 1.5 inch and cost $4. One was enough for me but a dude would want 2. The drip coffee was quite respectable, not burned in the slightest and they have real cream. Didn’t need any sugar.

“I've now visited Verna for takeout coffee on the patio, brunch-in, happy hour in the front, and happy hour in the back. All were lovely, vibey experiences. The food menu offers fun twists on staples and the drinks (coffee & alcoholic) are incredible. “This is our absolute favorite place to visit when in Nashville. Our server, Destiny, is the best! Being from Eastern Europe, it just adds to the ambience of the experience. As soon as you walk into the door you are transported to Europe. The smells engulf you, as you walk by the most amazing dessert display. Do NOT pass up dessert! They have the most extensive coffee menu I have ever seen. If you’re looking for hair of the dog, you can add alcohol! We have never had anything bad here, every bite is divine! I highly recommend the Mexican hot chocolate, the avocado toast, and the rosemary potatoes (we dream of these).“

“My wife and I were exploring the historic Germantown neighborhood in Nashville on Sunday, October 4th, looking for a good Vietnamese coffee. We stumbled upon Em & Mẹ Vietnamese Café, and it turned out to be an absolute highlight of our trip!
We ordered their traditional Vietnamese Coffee and a Bánh Mì, and both were absolutely delicious. The coffee had that perfect, bold, authentic kick, and the bánh mì was fresh and packed with flavor. Our only regret was that we couldn't order more off the menu—we were still too full from eating breakfast at our hotel!
Beyond the food, the space itself completely surprised us. The decor feels like a cozy urban oasis, blending a deeply welcoming family courtyard with a stylish Saigon living room vibe. It’s incredibly charming, filled with greenery, and has a relaxed atmosphere that actually makes you want to sit back and stay a while.
We highly recommend Em & Mẹ for anyone in Nashville looking for fantastic coffee, great food, and a wonderful space to unwind. We will definitely be back on our next trip when we have an empty stomach!

“EDIT: The owner personally reached out, apologized, refunded my order, and offered a gift card. I appreciate her taking the concern seriously and making an effort to resolve the issue. My frustration was primarily with the response I received when I called, not with the owner’s handling of the situation afterward. I have since updated my review and rating to reflect the way the situation was addressed.

Let me start by saying I’ve been coming to Monamie for at least two years. I love the coffee and think the quality is excellent. Unfortunately, the customer service and overall experience have been seriously lacking recently, which is the reason for this review.

As both a coffee lover and a business owner, I understand the importance of customer service and providing customers with the product they paid for. I frequently order the 2 oz “doppio” shots listed on the website for use in some of my recipes. When I order 2 ounces, I expect to receive 2 ounces.

On multiple occasions, I have spent $25–$30 on espresso shots only to be significantly shorted on the amount received. The last time I addressed the issue, the missing ounces were poured and the situation was resolved. Today, however, I ordered six doppio shots, which should have totaled 12 ounces. At $3 each, that’s not an insignificant purchase.

When I got home, I weighed the espresso after zeroing out my kitchen scale and found that I had only received 7 ounces instead of the 12 ounces I paid for. I called the shop to let them know, and the response I received was disappointing. The barista immediately said, “We’ve had this conversation with you before, but our machine only pulls a little over an ounce for the pours.”

My response was simple: the website states that a doppio is 2 ounces. It doesn’t matter what the machine pulls if customers are being charged for 2 ounces and receiving barely over half of that amount. The issue isn’t the machine, it’s that the product being sold doesn’t match what is being advertised.

The dismissive attitude, lack of accountability, and condescending response were honestly more frustrating than the missing espresso itself. As a long-time customer, I expected better. Considering the shop is nearly a 20 minute round trip from my home, this experience was enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere.“
