If you don’t already know, Sump Coffee has long been regarded as one of the best roasters in the country for the past 15 years, and it shows in every cup. If you care about great espresso, this is the spot.“

“It only took me 8 years to visit Little Gourmand but I was really impressed by the selection of French groceries available. Got me some escargots and a baguette from Paris and a few other treats like crème de marrons á la vanille. I’m going to have a French Easter. “such a cute place! the atmosphere is great and there were a few people doing work on computers. they had a great selection of coffees and specialty drinks including chai. they also had vegan pastries like cookies and muffins and gave a discount for the ones that were a day old. they're committed to no waste which i thought was super cool. glad they had a non dairy milk option (oat). happy to support this small local place! would definitely come back if i'm ever in town again. kind of hard to find it as the signs are small and parking is a little limited.“

“My wife visited here about 6 months ago and got coffee on her way to the airport and hasn’t stopped talking about it since. We’re here for New Years and she made sure we came by. I got an iced white mocha, which is better than anyone I’ve ever had anywhere else and we also shared a Biscoff cheesecake which was absolutely incredible. My frustration was primarily with the response I received when I called, not with the owner’s handling of the situation afterward. I have since updated my review and rating to reflect the way the situation was addressed.

Let me start by saying I’ve been coming to Monamie for at least two years. I love the coffee and think the quality is excellent. Unfortunately, the customer service and overall experience have been seriously lacking recently, which is the reason for this review.

As both a coffee lover and a business owner, I understand the importance of customer service and providing customers with the product they paid for. I frequently order the 2 oz “doppio” shots listed on the website for use in some of my recipes. When I order 2 ounces, I expect to receive 2 ounces.

On multiple occasions, I have spent $25–$30 on espresso shots only to be significantly shorted on the amount received. The last time I addressed the issue, the missing ounces were poured and the situation was resolved. Today, however, I ordered six doppio shots, which should have totaled 12 ounces. At $3 each, that’s not an insignificant purchase.

When I got home, I weighed the espresso after zeroing out my kitchen scale and found that I had only received 7 ounces instead of the 12 ounces I paid for. I called the shop to let them know, and the response I received was disappointing. The barista immediately said, “We’ve had this conversation with you before, but our machine only pulls a little over an ounce for the pours.”

My response was simple: the website states that a doppio is 2 ounces. It doesn’t matter what the machine pulls if customers are being charged for 2 ounces and receiving barely over half of that amount. The issue isn’t the machine, it’s that the product being sold doesn’t match what is being advertised.

The dismissive attitude, lack of accountability, and condescending response were honestly more frustrating than the missing espresso itself. As a long-time customer, I expected better. Considering the shop is nearly a 20 minute round trip from my home, this experience was enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere.“

“This store is amazing I went there twice and one thing I will say is they value their customers a lot !! I got a strawberry watermelon lemonade refresher and it was awesome, I also got some timbits and a donut that looks like a snowman and it was amazing, Dhara , she is a helpful person , Tarika was also great , she was new but did a great job at the register , the latte was also amazing . “We’re major coffee drinkers and have lived in New York, Seattle, and now Nashville, so our bar is pretty high. Crema absolutely lived up to the hype. The coffee was outstanding—easily some of the best we’ve had anywhere. Really well-balanced, flavorful, and clearly made with care.

The space is small and gets very busy, which was obvious when we visited. Service was fine—efficient and professional, though not especially warm. That said, given how packed it was, it’s understandable.

If you’re serious about coffee, this place is 100% worth a stop. We’ll definitely be back for the coffee alone.“

Lol the straw is loud when you move it up amd down so I made sure every one in the office knew I had a smoothie cause it's 2026 you have to detox for your health.“

“This is our absolute favorite place to visit when in Nashville. Our server, Destiny, is the best! Being from Eastern Europe, it just adds to the ambience of the experience. As soon as you walk into the door you are transported to Europe. The smells engulf you, as you walk by the most amazing dessert display. Do NOT pass up dessert! They have the most extensive coffee menu I have ever seen. If you’re looking for hair of the dog, you can add alcohol! We have never had anything bad here, every bite is divine! I highly recommend the Mexican hot chocolate, the avocado toast, and the rosemary potatoes (we dream of these).“

“The food and service at Abem Ethiopian restaurant is amazing!! We were craving Ethiopian food after having moved to TN from the San Francisco Bay Area and didn’t mind the 1.5hour drive after experiencing a selection of dishes at Abem. We enjoyed a large salad, veggie combo and doro tibs which we shared and still had leftovers to enjoy at home. Any time we’re anywhere near Nashville we stop at Abem. This is a family owned business operated with love. Hope you enjoy it, too.“

“Nashville Coffees has been on my list for a while and I finally made my way in this morning! I grabbed a cookie butter latte off their seasonal menu and it was absolutely delicious. For specialty/flavored lattes, this is up there with the best of the best in Nashville. I love that they open earlier than a lot of the other shops in town, which makes it so much easier to grab a coffee before work. I was able to go after the gym when most local spots are still closed. Since I live in the neighborhood, I’ll definitely be stopping in more often and so happy I don't need to venture all the way across town for a sweet treat. I'll have to give the classic unflavored drinks a try. Great spot for both locals and tourists alike 💛“

“My fiancé and I had been meaning to stop in and check this place out. We finally did and we couldn’t be happier. The interior is clean with a beautiful design and aesthetic. The Haraz latte was outstanding and the deserts were just as delicious. The gentleman I’m assuming was one of the owners who took our order could not have been nicer. He took time in a busy rush to help us get situated. I love our east nashville neighborhood because of people and places like this!“
