“EDIT: The owner personally reached out, apologized, refunded my order, and offered a gift card. I appreciate her taking the concern seriously and making an effort to resolve the issue. My frustration was primarily with the response I received when I called, not with the owner’s handling of the situation afterward. I have since updated my review and rating to reflect the way the situation was addressed.

Let me start by saying I’ve been coming to Monamie for at least two years. I love the coffee and think the quality is excellent. Unfortunately, the customer service and overall experience have been seriously lacking recently, which is the reason for this review.

As both a coffee lover and a business owner, I understand the importance of customer service and providing customers with the product they paid for. I frequently order the 2 oz “doppio” shots listed on the website for use in some of my recipes. When I order 2 ounces, I expect to receive 2 ounces.

On multiple occasions, I have spent $25–$30 on espresso shots only to be significantly shorted on the amount received. The last time I addressed the issue, the missing ounces were poured and the situation was resolved. Today, however, I ordered six doppio shots, which should have totaled 12 ounces. At $3 each, that’s not an insignificant purchase.

When I got home, I weighed the espresso after zeroing out my kitchen scale and found that I had only received 7 ounces instead of the 12 ounces I paid for. I called the shop to let them know, and the response I received was disappointing. The barista immediately said, “We’ve had this conversation with you before, but our machine only pulls a little over an ounce for the pours.”

My response was simple: the website states that a doppio is 2 ounces. It doesn’t matter what the machine pulls if customers are being charged for 2 ounces and receiving barely over half of that amount. The issue isn’t the machine, it’s that the product being sold doesn’t match what is being advertised.

The dismissive attitude, lack of accountability, and condescending response were honestly more frustrating than the missing espresso itself. As a long-time customer, I expected better. Considering the shop is nearly a 20 minute round trip from my home, this experience was enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere.“

“I have tried many different foods here ranging from desserts to breakfast to empanadas! I get a large Iced Cubano with the sweetened condensed milk and every single time it is perfect! The consistency and the quality of the food and coffee is outstanding! I always order via door and I have never been disappointed! Definitely recommend this place! 10/10! ❤“

“The food and service at Abem Ethiopian restaurant is amazing!! We were craving Ethiopian food after having moved to TN from the San Francisco Bay Area and didn’t mind the 1.5hour drive after experiencing a selection of dishes at Abem. We enjoyed a large salad, veggie combo and doro tibs which we shared and still had leftovers to enjoy at home. Any time we’re anywhere near Nashville we stop at Abem. This is a family owned business operated with love. Hope you enjoy it, too.“

The staff were extremely nice and supportive, we just had a new baby and I was getting a coffee for my wife and I (sleep deprivation!) Well I had a card issue, this place is gracious and professional. I would like to thank the broista who helped us out today! It was one of the few times that I really wish I had a cash tip to thank them. I am so happy this place is closer to our home. “Their sourdough bagels are delicious and they have so many flavor varieties which is always fun to choose from! Although they do have sit in dining all their food and coffee is served takeout style and their tables and chairs usually have some sort of food scraps from previous guests so that it doesn't encourage me to stay to eat. It's a very nice and quiet spot with great lighting and there staff seems nice, but don't do much more than smile and take your order. To be clear that is totally fine, but it just doesn't encourage me to stay much and enjoy the space. The bagels are absolutely delicious and their coffees are pretty good so I've still gone plenty times and will continue to go!“

“This location opening near our house was our first time learning about Scooter’s but man are we glad it’s here! The customer service is truly outstanding…such a pleasant surprise at a time when customer service is a dying art in so many business. The team here isn’t just good, they’re fantastic. Every single person is so friendly, makes a genuine effort to ask how you’re doing or if you have any fun plans and they’re just so chipper and sociable. Not to mention the coffee is great, the “scoot on around” is marketing gold, and their branding is 10/10. Also, if you’re a sugar free coffee drinker, one of my fave things is that they actually offer their seasonal drinks in sugar free options, which very few places are good about offering, so I love that I can join in on the festive drinks here. You guys do an amazing job and we appreciate you!“

“This place is lovely and so are the employees. I ordered a vanilla latte, sweet cream cold brew, bacon burrito, and florentine crepe. Both coffees were tasty and the latte didn't make me feel jittery (I only tasted the cold brew). Edith, the barista, was kind, welcoming, and warm. And the food was delicious! You definitely get a big portion for the price and it was prepared quickly. The space is very large and even has an upstairs area with sofas. They even feature a shelter dog to get the pup more exposure in hopes to get them adopted. I 100% recommend this shop and will return.“

“I was pretty excited to try this place. Maybe I hyped it too much in my head. I ordered the regular sized, skinny latte, sf vanilla syrup with bs boba. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, cheese and it had a hash brown on the sandwich as well. I missed that part of the description so I just scraped it off as it added an unpleasant texture. I did like that there was a creamy sriracha to add to the sandwich, as this is how I would make one as well.
I'm old school so I didn't love impersonal the kiosk ordering station. It took me twice as long to order because then I had the time to look through the whole menu. I would hate to feel rushed with people behind me waiting for me to click through all the screens. It's that difficult or anything and I'm glad I had the chance to browse the catalog so to speak. The place was absolutely dead when I went in there. I would think it may get busy in there at certain times, the vibe looked like it would appeal to a younger crowd.“

“This is the perfect cup of coffee. I got an oat milk latte and it was delicious. Exactly the milk to coffee ratio I like and the perfect color. I didn’t have any expectations going here because I’d never been and I’m from Texas. Couldn’t recommend it enough. My boyfriend got the white bison latte and he loves it. He likes sweeter coffee so if that is your vibe then it’s definitely for you. Amazing place all around. Our barista (the manager today) had a wonderful attitude and was very kind and energetic. We needed a little positivity this morning and this place was a blessing. Thank you White Bison.“

“This location is always over crowded and hard to pull in and out of for the drive through location. I had purchased 2 coffee beverages but my daughter wanted a cup of water. She went and asked for water but was told she had to buy something to get it. This is the first and only time we have had this problem at Starbucks! Probably won't go back to this location again..Disappointed!“

I’ll see the same few guys working at that time and they always greet me good morning and wish me a good day when I walk out. Very attentive to who comes and goes which is always nice in a place of service. They also pretty consistently make my drink well. Good job to the managers and the workers!“

I just witnessed 2 ladies and a child leave a mess they could have easily cleaned up themselves and it's a slap in the face to the people that work at this location (how hard is it to toss a half eaten cookie, a napkin and a wrapper?) They are constantly trying to keep this place tidy despite some of the people that come here and just know that staying on top of that for others that come in is appreciated. So thank you and I apologize on behalf of the people that don't clean up after themselves. Drinks are on point, everyone is friendly and vibes are good.

“Done with speedway after 25 faithfull years. I always looked the other way on the fuel prices being a few cents higher for the convenience and reward system but now that they have made it so that you cannot refill a gas card after 7:00 p.m. and you cannot use a gas card to pay at the pump there's absolutely no reason to continue paying extra prices on gas and merchandise. I knew when they were purchased by 7-Eleven that it would go downhill fast and it has I buy $500 gas cards per week to fuel up at pump multiple vehicles and work nights I can no longer refill my cards and my family cannot use the card to pay at the pump avoiding risking being skimmed with a credit card at the pump. they say it's because of fraud on gift cards but if an employee is not behind the fraud then how is their fraud how is refilling a gift card before 7:00 any less fraudulent then after 7:00 how is me coming in to pay with my kid card any more of a chance of being fraudulent than not an employee cannot tell if it was fraudulently filled inside anymore than they can outside goodbye Speedway“
