“Unexpected and unassuming stop for coffee! I found them searching for coffee on a road trip and chose to check it out from the high ratings. To be honest, I wasn't sure I was in the right place when I pulled up! But I opened that door and walked into a seriously eclectic vibe that had all the vintage things I love! Cool spot with great service and coffee and i really love my pesto and egg breakfast sandwich!

“The owners of Nashville's Portland Brew came out here to Joelton and created this incredibly cozy coffee shop. They have breakfast things, a wife variety of drinks and a great location. 15 years ago I was hanging out with future Nashville Tech leaders coding and drinking at Portland. It was just luck I happened in on this new location just 2 miles from where I recently moved to.“

“Last Sunday me and my bf took a weekend trip to Nashville and one of the things on our itinerary was to get some good matcha. We found this coffee shop through tik tok and we wanted to give it a try ,so we made our way there not knowing they were closed. When we got to the door, we realized they weren’t open and proceeded to turn around. At the last second a man opened the door and invited us in. He told us that they close at 4 on Sundays but that he had some extra matcha from an event they catered earlier and if we wanted some, ON THE HOUSE!! It was genuinely one of the sweetest interactions I’ve had in a long time and he truly embodied the essence of what southern hospitality looks and feels like. He did not have to do that. He could have turned us away and instead took the time out of his day to offer us drinks (for free!!) and invited us to use the Photo Booth as well. The matcha was A1!! It was my bfs first time trying it and he loved it!! If I could give this place a 100/10 I would. Aesthetically pleasing and great energy from the staff. I will be stopping at this coffee shop every time I’m in town from now on. <3“

“First: I’m extremely picky about my lattes. I am sensitive to overcooked (burnt taste) beans and undercooked (sour taste) beans. I have gone here repeatedly for iced lattes and they have always provided the perfect texture and balance. They are by far (and I don’t say this lightly) providing the BEST espresso in Nashville. Second: What truly makes this cafe great is that it’s the only cafe in town that makes you feel like you’re wanted. All of these cafes built in the last 20 years are hard, cold and sterile. If you’re younger than 40, you probably don’t even remember that cafes used to be warm, social, inviting and a home for many people. New cafes are so uninviting and I feel it’s done on purpose to get you to leave so more customers come in. But the Daily Grind? It’s homey, has couches, the walls are filled with all sorts of crafty love and plants and there’s a poster on the front that lets you know this is a SAFE space for all. It’s reminiscent of the old days when you had warm social spaces where you could spend hours every day with friends playing games, drawing, talking and no one glued to their phones. I hope this cafe gets to expand and provide even more of this nostalgic homey feel and bring that needed community experience back to Nashville. “We’re major coffee drinkers and have lived in New York, Seattle, and now Nashville, so our bar is pretty high. Crema absolutely lived up to the hype. The coffee was outstanding—easily some of the best we’ve had anywhere. Really well-balanced, flavorful, and clearly made with care.

The space is small and gets very busy, which was obvious when we visited. Service was fine—efficient and professional, though not especially warm. That said, given how packed it was, it’s understandable.

If you’re serious about coffee, this place is 100% worth a stop. We’ll definitely be back for the coffee alone.“

I WISH I had a coffee shop like this where I live. I would never leave. Everyone seemed to know everyone that was local and they were so friendly with one another. I got a vanilla iced latte and a chicken Caesar wrap, both of which were great. There was ample seating, some of which was more chill conversational areas with couches, but also several areas of tables and chair perfect for studying or working at a laptop. All in all the atmosphere was laidback and comfortable. Parking in the hotel lot does cost, though I’m not sure of the exact amount.“

“I had a wonderful time working at this coffee shop while on a recent trip! First, the Americano and food I had were excellent. Second, the service was top-notch. Third, the bathrooms were very clean. Lastly, the atmosphere was conducive to a multi-hour work session. I appreciated the brightness and decor of the location. “My husband and I love this coffee shop and brewery. It’s a quiet spot for a couple hours of work outside the house during the day, and in the evening it is a sweet place for a beer and conversation. Most recently we happened in on a Wednesday evening with a jazz jam session and performance going on. I recognized some of the musicians as major studio session artists and touring artists.

Meanwhile, their barrel aged beers are probably the best locally brewed dark beers available in Nashville right now.

Their offerings include a variety of craft styles that are not widely made, as well as some solid IPAs. If you are a beer person, you should definitely stop in.“
