“What can I say to express my satisfaction. 5 stars is not enough. I don’t live around here, and while in town, came for a small morning snack. I don’t like cream cheese unless it’s on a plain bagel (not toasted) and it can only be Philadelphia brand. Weird, I know, but that’s just how it is for me.
They make their cream cheese in house so I thought I’d give it a try.
And let me tell you the experience I had was ✨incredible✨
I tried a small bite first.

The realization: Wasn’t bad… was actually good! First thought was there wasn’t a single thing bad about it. I added more on my bagel.

The acceptance: With every bite, I tasted another reason why this was the best cream cheese I had ever had (coming from a person who doesn’t like cream cheese). First it melts in your mouth like whipped butter on a roll, then it graces your tastebuds like a flower blesses your sense of smell and gives this delicate but well rounded premium cream cheese flavor.

The second realization: Before I could even get through a few bites I was overcome with the fact that this cream cheese was the answer to my original dislike of the food. I was falling in love. But as I mentioned, I don’t live anywhere near here. When I tell you, tears started welling up in my eyes that this was likely the last time I would get to eat this creamy miracle. I was straight up CRYING IN MY CAR. Full streams now and I couldn’t stop laughing at myself for getting so emotional over food.
I’ve never gotten emotional over food like this before. Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones, but I like to believe that this bagel place just knows that to make good food, you have to start with high quality ingredients. Oof that sounds like a corporate slogan. *cringe* But I can’t think of better words to describe what’s going on in there when they make their food. Anyways….

TLDR: get the cream cheese. I laughed, I cried, I wish I lived next to this place so I could get fat off their from-scratch bagels. 10/10 would recommend.“

My first recommendation would be to get a reservation unless you just want to grab pastries and coffee at the walk up. We started our meal with the taro Swiss cake roll and it changed my life. It tasted like eating a taro milk tea, which I love! It was lightly sweetened and had a very strong taro flavor (in a good way)! We also ordered the Arnold Palmer’s which are green tea and yuzu lemonade. Yum! For entrees, my husband got the salmon chirashi and I had the crab soba! A couple that stood out to me in particular were the strawberry shortcake and carrot cake—they were especially flavorful and memorable compared to the rest.

Nutrition & Indulgence Factor.
One thing to keep in mind is that the cookies are definitely rich and fairly high in calories, sugar, and fat, which is pretty typical for oversized gourmet-style cookies.

Because of that, I personally see them as more of a special-occasion treat or occasional indulgence rather than an everyday dessert.
