Gondolier Pizza & Steak House

Pizzas were good but lasagna was awful. Cheese was really rubbery and the ricotta was so over cooked it turned into a hard rubber. It was inedible. My wife’s pizza was really tasty and cooked well. Also the booth seat had orange jello all over it and it got on her pants and hand. Maybe wipe the seat down when cleaning the table. The booth seats had reminisce of the last few meals. Personally I won’t return but I would recommend the pizza.

Ordered buffalo wings to go got home and noticed hardly any sauce whatsoever on wings. Very disappointed had to drive all the way back and lady even made a comment ( I don’t see any sauce on it either).

Average food in an average place for an average price. When I go out to dinner, I want more than average. So no, I cannot recommend this place

I don't know why, but I made the mistake again of going to that substandard gondolier Italian restaurant in Athens. My two granddaughters got burgers that were overcooked, but they did eat some of them and I ordered the veal marsala. My meal looked terrible, smelled bad and I even tasted one bite. It was burned super thin veal with a marsala sauce like I have never tasted before. It was like brown gravy that had been sitting in a pot all day long being kept warm. What a disgrace it was. I sent the meal back. Sadly enough, the meal was still over $40 for two kids to have a cheeseburger and fries and split an order of mozzarella sticks. Never ever again will I go in that dump.

Just had dinner here with a couple of friends and it was very interesting! Our server seemed to be a bit busy as all of her tables were sat. She had to run back and forth multiple times for drinks, her hands were full (I don’t believe this establishment has trays??). I asked about the chopped steak option on the menu and unfortunately our server didn’t eat red meat, but she said they sell a lot of the chopped steak! Maybe it was my fault that I was expecting a steak instead of a ground beef patty, but if I knew it was ground beef I certainty would’ve ordered anything else on the menu. I ended up sharing food with the others at the table as our server didn’t have time to check on us during our entire meal. At the end of our meal our server didn’t seemed concerned with my steak only having a microscopic bite taken out of it (it tasted like boiled charbroiled ground beef) and didn’t ask any questions as she seemed to be in a rush. We did pay full price, but I just don’t recommend the steak there unless you’re looking for a hamburger steak. Just stick to the pizza!!

We always enjoy the food at Gondolier. Service is fast and friendly. We got the fried chicken livers last time we were there. Very good!
