My wife and I have lived in Athens for about a year and a half and finally stopped at Michaels for the first time today. I am a little upset that we haven't been told by our neighbors that this is a wonderful little jewel. Our waitress was super prompt and the food was top notch. Would highly recommend and will be returning again soon.

I had the honor of attending a luncheon today for veterans widows. We had a wonderful speaker and it was my first time attending. However, I was very disappointed when I got to the counter and discovered that an 18% gratuity had been added to everyone's meal. We all sat in the same room together but were not all on the same check. The waitress never came back again one she delivered our meals. More than half of these ladies had come from an assisted living facility. Shame on Michael's restaurant for adding this cost to the bill of widowed veterans on fixed incomes. This is my opinion only and did not come from any of the other wives. I hope you will not hold this post against them. They are a sweet group of ladies.

Burgers and chicken tenders were great. The BBQ was awful. Dry old and no flavor.. Don't go for the BBQ Gave it a try twice..
Me and my family love Michael's - from barbeque boneless wings, salads, and chicken, to free bread and butter. Service is consistently great and management spot on.
Try the potato soup, it's great. However the grilled ham and cheese is a disappointment. They only put 1 thin slice of cheese and 1 shaved slice of ham.
