Pizza used to be good from this location but not anymore. I have given them 5 opportunities and none of the past 5 pizzas have been good. Last night I ordered a pizza off the app. Walked in and told the lady at the register my name so she could grab my pizza. I noticed the guy working with her gave her a sly smirk when I said my name…brought the pizza home and ate it. Pizza was not impressive. About an hour after eating the pizza, my wife and I became very sick. I’m not saying they intentionally did anything to the pizza and I’m not sure why they would, however, I noticed him smirking as soon as I said my name for my order and thought that was odd. Either way, this store will never get my business again until I hear they completely turn things around. I draw the line when the pizza makes me as sick as it did. I hope the right people/franchise owner sees my review and some of the other negative reviews so they can turn things around.

I’ve tried to get food at this location twice in the last year and both times have been a mistake and a huge waste of my time and gas money. Today I was greeted with a terrible attitude and told before I even order that it’s going to “TAKE A GOOD WHILE” to get my order. I said that was okay. I asked for a menu. I was told “we don’t have a menu” OH OKAY. I went on my phone to look at a menu and had a question about cheese bread. I was answered with a very bleak answer. I told them I’m going to Dominos. I am here at Dominos two mins away. I was greeted immediately and was given a menu to order from. I was told it would be out within 20 mins. Much better service and experience going some where OTHER than Papa John’s.

This is the worst place in town. I have never been treated so rudely in my whole life and then have the cops called on me, only to not get the food I had already paid for. The staff should be ashamed of themselves, treating there locals this way. Never Again Papa John's inexcusable

Dont bother asking for extra of anything. I ordered a cheese pizza with extra sauce and got no sauce. At this point it's just cardboard and cheese.

Completely unacceptable behavior by staff. Extremely unprofessional to scream at and mock a customer for frustration by how they were treated. Corporate however is amazing and handled our phone call extremely professionally. Will still eat Papa John's, but not this location. Support a different pizza spot!

We order pizza every other week from Papa John’s when we work late and don’t feel like cooking. And we order online and ask for it to be made well done. And every single time, it comes here undercooked and doughy! Not to mention, they put so much cheese (that is also undercooked) that nobody wants to eat it. And with the price increases they’ve had, it is absolutely not worth it when we’re throwing away the majority of the pizzas because they’re not what we asked for every time! How hard is it to mess up 2 cheese & 2 pepperoni pizzas that should be cooked well done?! I have wasted so much money on this and had hoped they’d eventually get it right, but again tonight, it was unbearable! Guess we’ll be switching to Dominos or Pizza Hut, even though their sauce isn’t as good.

Think this is the first time I have eaten at Papa John's since moving to Athens. I read some terrible reviews but I don't see anything wrong with the pizza. For clarification, I ordered on a Thursday around 4:30 pm so maybe it's the particular crew I had or maybe they used to have some bad employees. Either way, my pizza was done right when they said it would be and looks wonderful. I haven't eaten it yet because I'm writing this review 😅. Also, I ordered a bunch of extra sauces and they were all there.

My wife and I ordered 2 large, 2 topping pizzas and were really disappointed. Not only were the pizzas messy and awful, but one of the workers really was going rogue back in the kitchen area. I was waiting in the lobby for my pizzas when a worker (seemed like a manager or at the very least been working there awhile). While I was there waiting aomeone had ordered a pizza around 50 minutes away from closing time and the employee with big gauges in his ears and he was wearing glasses Went absolutely ballistic and started slamming stuff and throwing toppings across the restaurant and basically just having an extreme temper tantrum. I should have recorded it, but unfortunately, I didn’t. I will be calling corporate or at the very least one of the general managers at that specific location and informing them of the childish and potentially dangerous employee that they have working in the kitchen. But long story short, the employee went off and trashed the place all because someone ordered a pizza around 45 minutes before the place closed for the night. I never really go into this much detail when I leave a review for a business, but what I witnessed tonight was absolutely unacceptable and needs to be dealt with accordingly.

We bought two pizza’s both we’re supposed to be hand tossed, we got one hand tossed one thin crust. I called and they kept saying it was hand tossed. Sorry it wasn’t when the other one absolutely was. I wish it would let me post pictures.
