The food is very good, and I have tried much of the menu. I would personally like a bit more flavor, especially in dishes like the shrimp and grits. The service is good, but I have noticed that restaurants with automatic gratuity have less attentive servers. It is a great local spot, which is why you MUST have a reservation to get in most of the time.

Visit the Bartlett location a couple times, recently went back with a friend and the atmosphere was dark and gloomy 'refresh the scenery please ' left and decided to check the Downtown location out, same kinda setup but more inviting, anyhow waited a good 30 minutes to be seated, understaffed and even they were complaining. Ordered my favorite Shrimp and Grits took about 20 minutes on that, grits had a few lumps sauce was a lil watery, so I'm giving 2 stars cause they have the Potential but I'm guessing it was just a bad day.

The food did not taste fresh. The sausage was very dry and the biscuit was not fresh . I also noticed most of customers that ordered waffles did not finish the waffles or take them to go. The food tasted like it was setting under hot lamps for a few hours no fresh taste.Also did not get good service at all I had to get my own spoon after I asked twice for a spoon also there was no refills on the coffee or water because there was no one attending our table . Now it was time to go we got the check on time but the check already had the tip added into the check. I was under the impression that Tips are based on good or bad service. The service sucked but they still got a 18% tip. I'm not going to complain too much about the food I just take a loss but what I am complaining about would be the force 18% tip. Tips are to be based off bad or good service. When I got the the bill for the meal and I saw the force tip it put me in a mindset I'm going to some type of club/ comedy show which required the customer to purchased two drink minimum. The way they put the tip on the bill made me feel like I was at some after hours club eatting breakfast.And maybe why the service was not up to par because employees know they're going to get 18% no matter how bad or good service is.

The food was decent, but the service was so bad! I had to get up from the table and hunt down my server anytime we needed something. We ordered a mimosa and waited over 15 minutes. We looked at the bartenders hanging out on their phones. We finally went up to the bar to ask about it and they said “yeah it’s in here” and then started making it. It was so strange! I wouldn’t come back again.

Rum Boogie French Toast did not taste good this go around and was lukewarm along with the (powdered) eggs. My mom enjoyed her breakfast 😋. The servers are always nice

We stopped in memphis for the night and were worried everywhere would be super packed for Sunday breakfast, but we got right in! Service was pretty fast and everyone was super friendly. Everything tasted amazing, gotta recommend the rum bougie French toast.

I placed an order via DD today. Both biscuits were burned and hard as rocks. My steak was completely black. Well done does not mean burned to resemble charcoal. Potatoes were ok but no flavor. Everything else was basic. Not worth the hype.

This is our second time going and trying to get food and our second time being denied a table. First time there were two of us. We got sat and was at our table for 15 minutes nobody came to our table. We noticed a table get sat behind us received service. Waited another 5 minutes still no service so we left. Just tried to come a second time with family. It was a party of 6 with 1 kid, we were told that they couldn't accommodate a party of that size. We asked if we could just sit separately she said they wouldn't split parties and then said there would be a wait. We said we were ok waiting and that we would order as separate parties they didn't need to make us one party. We were still told no and that they wouldn't accommodate us. I don't be trying a third time.
