Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

The chicken is seriously good, don't get me wrong. Our Server was entertaining and super friendly. The Manager walked over to check on us, and had a good 5 minute conversation. I didn't like the potato salad, but the coleslaw and seasoned fries were perfection! The only negative opinion I have is, the plates come with 2 sides and white bread. Sides being baked beans and slaw. To substitute for another side is a fifty cent charge. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed, and I will definitely visit again when I come back through.

Had a great experience going to Gus’s with my Church family. The food was amazing and came out quickly. Tiffany was very kind and amazing as we had a large group.

I called in a pickup order on Sunday. Tiffany answered the phone and took my order. She was very polite and repeated my order back to me. I confirmed the order was correct and she told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I walked through the door, they were busy. I went to the counter to let them know I was here. Tiffany greeted me with a smile and went to check on my order. I could the cooks handing her an order which she finished and brought to me. I was in and out quickly while the restaurant was busy. I forgot to take a picture of the food, but it was still hot when I got home and cooked perfectly. Great experience!

I ordered a half chicken online for pick up. Upon arrival, I was surprised at the condition of the dining room. There was trash and spilt beverages on the floor. The worst part was it wasn't busy. There were only two tables with patrons. I was hesitant to pick up the food I had ordered but I gave the it benefit of doubt. They could have been short staffed. On a good note, the food was delicious and the service was good. I forgot to take a photo of the food.

First time going to Bartlett location and I was not disappointed.

I’m not a fan of waiting, but this location is impressively quicker and more efficient than the other Gus’s locations. Our waitress was professional and super friendly, which made the meal even better. The fried chicken came out hot, crispy, and just as delicious as at their other location. The place is neat and well-kept. Overall, a very decent and satisfying experience.

Let me just say, it took me 12 years to get back to an area that had Gus's. I dreamt of this place every day. The mac n cheese, collard greens, fried ocra and green tomatoes are to legitimately die for. Now for the chicken, its soul touching, rejuvenation of the spirit levels of juicy seasoned chicken. Ill forever fight and die on the hill of Gus's

HAILING FROM INDIANA !!! Me and the family traveled to Memphis a couple Christmas' back and after a day full of sight seeing && agreeing that we were ALL craving some soul food...we Google searched the best fried chicken in Memphis && Gus's had the highest-ratings . We dined in && everything was spectacular . I recall getting some fried chicken (obviously) with a side of fries , collard greens , mac 'n cheese && a large root beer float to wash it all down . Everything was delectable and seasoned perfectly . 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend !!!

A bit bummed out. Waited over an Hr and never got our order. Watched TO-GO orders go in and out. Watched tables that came in after us receive their food. In the end, we left without ever receiving our food. Stick with door dash or to go, your food will come quicker.
