This is my first time trying their breakfast. OMG, it tasted like big mama food on a Saturday morning. The food was very authentic and tasty. I recommend 10 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Go support their business!!
Food was horrible!! Staff didn’t care at all, no accommodations!! Gravy was too thick and cold. Plate was left exactly how the waiter brought it out. Who goes to a restaurant and doesn’t eat anything off there plate? Wouldn’t recommend!!
Quaint atmosphere; accommodating seating; friendly/courteous staff. Excellent food & drinks. #SundayBrunch

Went to support the business and was impressed. Good food, service and the pricing didn't break the bank.

Tried the Ham and Cheese Omelette platter and it was delicious. It was so so busy and service wasn't what it usually is.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. Customer service was poor. Food came out lukewarm and long wait. We didn’t receive refills and server didn’t check on us until we were finished eating by that time just asked for the check. Small bugs in the window. Dirty cups/glasses(lipstick residue left on glass). This place needs a business etiquette course all around.

We ordered chicken and waffles and crab cakes. The waffles were fluffy and the chicken was good and well seasoned. The only problem is the chicken wings were VERY tiny. So the potions will not get you full unless you are drinking as well. The crab cakes tasted frozen and soggy. I think they should remove them from the menu. The server was not the best. We had to keep waving her down. This place has potential but they are not there yet. I recommend using tenders or offering thighs as an option for chicken and waffles.

I had an excellent experience at the Southern breakfast kitchen. My husband and I decided to attend their grand opening. My understanding is that they opened at the top of the year, but this event served as an opportunity to introduce this new black owned business to the Bartlett community. The location is quite convenient (by Kroger on Kirby Whitten). We had ample parking selections, and we were seated once we got in. We were greeted by every server, all seemed friendly and ready to serve.
Inside, the atmosphere gives a family feel. There was a mix of couples in attendance, primarily skewing 40’s-50’s. My husband and I greatly appreciated the live jazz music, which added more upscale vibe to the overall experience. I also absolutely love that they had both a coffee bar and a standard bar. We did not try the hibachi, but that option was available as well.
It took about 30 minutes for us to receive our food and about 15 minutes for us to receive our drinks. we had the mango and orange mimosas and both were good (though I highly recommend the mango). We both got the omelettes (veggie and veggie + ham). It was an ample amount of food. I couldn’t even eat much of the hash browns because I was so full! For the price, we were both quite satisfied!
Our server was attentive and consistently checked on us. Our water classes were never empty. I appreciate this type of service.
We both agreed that we would be back, probably with family. I am hoping that this will become a staple in the Bartlett community.
