THE BEST PIZZA I'VE EATEN SINCE BEING IN NEW YORK!!!

I ate here this past weekend. The pizza was pretty good, much better than I'd hoped based on some other places I'd eaten at around here, and worth a good review on its own. The real star of the show, however, ended up being the french garlic butter side. I like garlic butter with pizza, so I ordered it on a whim. I was surprised how well it complemented the crust and how much it improved the flavor. I'll definitely be dropping in again next time I'm in the area.

To this day, the best authentic wood fired pizza I have found! I travel a lot, and always try the best wood fired pizza I can find in each town. I have probably been to 300+ pizza restaurants in my life, and I can confidently say DeSano raised the bar so much for me. I love everything about this restaurant, and have yet to find something I don’t like on their menu!

The pizzas leave something to be desired. They have a tough, thin crust on the pizzas that lack flavor. The cheese and toppings don’t have much nuance either. Desanos pizzas are expensive, so for the price the results could be a lot more

At this place, you order at the counter (as you do at McDonald’s), and they bring the food to your table: WITHOUT plates, WITHOUT utensils, and without ANYTHING else. There is NO grated Parmesan anywhere in sight, OR ANY other seasonings. NO visible take-home boxes. And yet when you pay - at the counter - the “suggested” tip choices START at 20%, and go up from there to 25% and 30%!!! For what!? The bare bones, surly, “can’t be bothered” slamming down of your pizza on the table and immediate scampering away to resume staring blankly into space from behind the counter with arms folded? No way. It’s ridiculous to EXPECT exorbitant tipping for this.

We did a take out order. Order was missing our desert and had to go back. When we started eating, I realized my salad was missing dressing, and we had no utensils or napkins. The pizza was average quality and overpriced.

I've been here a few times. I like this location in lieu of the other locations. Ample parking, and walkable shopping are my motivators. I really really love the pizza here. In my opinion you won't get better wood fired pizza anywhere else (that I've tried). There is a downside. One time I came here and they misplaced my order. After waiting for some time, I approached a staff member and they quickly started making the order. There seems to be a long wait time here and I only have come here when it's not as busy like a weeknight or a Sunday night. I always get the same thing: Margherita. It's so so good. They have self serve garlic and cheese you can get on your own. If you want plates you also get those on your own. They serve the pizza on a large baking sheet. The quality and freshness of the pizza is very good.

First time visit yesterday and somewhat disappointed. First the guy taking our order was not super helpful, though not rude was a little disengaged. I also noticed during our time there he seemed more occupied with his phone whenever there was a small break between guests arriving. We ordered the Margherita Pizza. The crust was slightly burnt but still tasty. My biggest complaint is that a single small basil leaf placed at the center is nowhere near adequate.
