The Fox's Den Boardgame Cafe

This atmosphere is so cozy in this cafe. You got boardgames, books, a nice fireplace and an outdoorsy feel to it. But most importantly, some of the best coffee around. Better than the corporations like seven brew and others. Friendly people running the show here as well. Super artistic it looks like.
We drove 18 minutes out of the way looking for a nice cafe to just sit for a minute and we found it. Definitely won’t forget about this one.

The atmosphere was amazing, the cashiers/baristas were all very polite, helpful and kind (and patient with us lol) the board games all seem really fun even though we didn't play any, and the little book nook area was really relaxing.

The drinks were all really well made and tasted great, and I loved the cute little names they gave them! I would definitely recommend the fox's den for anyone looking for a sweet, warm afternoon in good company.

This place is amazing. I have truly enjoyed visiting here on many occasions. The coffee is top notch, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent. I have enjoyed getting to know the owners and staff. They go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. It is the only coffee shop I know where you actually feel comfortable settling in and staying awhile. I can get cozy with friends, work on my business, or play board games till my heart is content. We have also booked private rooms for our local homeschool co-op teens to meet and play games. It is a fantastic option where we can go to have good, clean fun.

I’m not usually one to leave a bad review and I’m hoping they were just having an off day. Was heading to the animal shelter down the road to drop off a foster to be fixed on surgery day and our vet tech was moving slow and asked for a pick me up to stop and get her a coffee. We were already almost to the shelter and remembered we always passed this cute little coffee shop so decided to stop and give it a try. Very cute establishment, very nice family working but I did not expect to be there waiting for 3 coffees for over 45 minutes. Especially when two were just black pour overs. Our receipt said 7:26 we didn’t get in the car to leave until 8:09 but the worst part was the coffee was awful. Mine and my husband’s was watered down tasting. I asked the vet tech when I picked up my kitten later that day how hers was and she said watered down hospital coffee. You definitely don’t expect to get coffee like that from a small coffee shop. A gas station maybe but not a coffee shop. Like i said it looks really nice inside and the family working were very nice. But it was way too long of a wait for watered down coffee.

The staff is wonderful, kind, and very thoughtful. Atmosphere is a 10/10 and very welcoming. Drinks were great too!

I’m not sure where I went wrong here but I can say absolutely and without reservation that this was the worst latte I’ve ever had. Ever. And it cost 8 bucks! The espresso tasted more like burnt coffee. And I’m pretty sure the milk was starting to sour. It was undrinkable. The gluten free cookie was tasty. But still… just marveling at the consistently excellent reviews here and feeling betrayed or mislead by my fellow Google reviewers.

We had the absolute best lunch date with our two girls here. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The drinks were delicious and they have sooo many games to choose from. We will definitely be back and cannot recommend this gem enough.
