Should have gotten the veggie fajitas -a bunch of veggies and 5 shrimp with shrimp fajitas - ugh
La Jefa is a hidden gem that serves up bold flavors, warm hospitality, and an authentic Mexican dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like family. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance—lively, colorful, and inviting.
We started with their chips and salsa, and wow—the salsa tasted fresh and homemade, with just the right kick. I highly recommend the street tacos—each bite was packed with flavor, especially the carnitas and al pastor. Their margaritas? Easily some of the best I’ve had—refreshing, not overly sweet, and generously poured.
Service was quick, friendly, and thoughtful. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every dish and interaction. Whether you’re coming for a casual meal or a fun night out, La Jefa is the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again.
Highly recommend!

After having her good things about this place I was very very disappointed. I ordered the side salad and in the lettuce was rotten. The poblano pepper which is essentially a chili relleno came to my table with nothing inside of it. When I sent it back they didn't send me out a new one but stuff the piece of cheese inside and just sent it back to the table. The rest of the food on the plate was cold and nothing was offered to me so I didn't eat and didn't pay. Very disappointed

Delicious food. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items. Lunch portions are generous and even so big I had to take what I couldn't finish home.

When a person asks if it is natural, I answer honestly because after charging me for the Tamarindo I did not want to return money. They are worth pure dick!!

Over all experience was great...
We like the quiet atmosphere and speedy service, however we also felt a little more attention to cleanliness maybe considered. This restaurant was revamped from an older restaurant but does not look new but is comfortable. The food and menu are as they should be. So absolutely stop in. Most area restaurants are very loud, here you can enjoy your meal...
