“We visited at the height of the breakfast/brunch rush, but were seated relatively quickly and efficiently. We were in town for our son's graduation from Lipscomb University, so we were feeling very celebratory! Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes. We even got some of the delicious pastries to go! Oh yes, and three in our family have celiac disease and they were able to enjoy gluten-free meals as well!“

“McNamara’s is one of my favorite spots in Nashville when I’m craving Irish food. It does a great job delivering a semi-authentic Irish pub experience without leaving the city. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and feels more like you’re enjoying a meal in someone’s home than eating at a restaurant.

They frequently have live music, which really adds to the experience, and there’s an excellent selection of beers, whiskey, and other alcoholic beverages to complement the menu. The only minor downside is that the live music can get a little loud at times, making conversation more difficult, but that’s also part of the lively pub atmosphere many people come for.

The food is consistently good, the ambiance is hard to beat, and it’s a place I genuinely look forward to visiting every time. If you’re looking for a cozy pub with great food, drinks, and entertainment, McNamara’s is definitely worth a visit.“

“We live in Wisconsin, and every time we're in town, stopping here is a must. We've been here so many times that it's become one of our traditions—especially on the 4th of July every year. We even go out of our way just to make sure we can stop in!

They have the best ice cream, and our absolute favorite is the brownie bowl with the toasted s'mores ice cream. We talk about it constantly, we're obsessed..

What really sets this place apart, though, is the care that goes into everything. The owner is incredibly passionate about the products they serve, even taking the time to know where the dairy comes from and the Wisconsin cows behind it. That level of thought and quality really shows. They even have vegan options!

We also have to give a huge shoutout to Avenly, Kyle, Jay, and Eden. Every one of them was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely went above and beyond. Their friendliness and excellent customer service are a big reason we keep coming back (aside from the icecream obviously).

My frustration was primarily with the response I received when I called, not with the owner’s handling of the situation afterward. Let me start by saying I’ve been coming to Monamie for at least two years. I love the coffee and think the quality is excellent. Unfortunately, the customer service and overall experience have been seriously lacking recently, which is the reason for this review.

As both a coffee lover and a business owner, I understand the importance of customer service and providing customers with the product they paid for. I frequently order the 2 oz “doppio” shots listed on the website for use in some of my recipes. When I order 2 ounces, I expect to receive 2 ounces.

On multiple occasions, I have spent $25–$30 on espresso shots only to be significantly shorted on the amount received. The last time I addressed the issue, the missing ounces were poured and the situation was resolved. Today, however, I ordered six doppio shots, which should have totaled 12 ounces. At $3 each, that’s not an insignificant purchase.

When I got home, I weighed the espresso after zeroing out my kitchen scale and found that I had only received 7 ounces instead of the 12 ounces I paid for. I called the shop to let them know, and the response I received was disappointing. The barista immediately said, “We’ve had this conversation with you before, but our machine only pulls a little over an ounce for the pours.”

My response was simple: the website states that a doppio is 2 ounces. It doesn’t matter what the machine pulls if customers are being charged for 2 ounces and receiving barely over half of that amount. The issue isn’t the machine, it’s that the product being sold doesn’t match what is being advertised.

The dismissive attitude, lack of accountability, and condescending response were honestly more frustrating than the missing espresso itself. As a long-time customer, I expected better. Considering the shop is nearly a 20 minute round trip from my home, this experience was enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere.“

The best word to describe this food is exceptional. The Kale and Quinoa Bowl is full of flavor and absolutely delicious — if I could eat it every day, I would. It’s the rare kind of healthy food that never sacrifices taste, which means zero guilt and maximum satisfaction.

I had the pleasure of speaking with the Chef, who clearly has a deep passion for creating bold, flavorful dishes using wholesome ingredients. Keep in mind this is a ghost kitchen concept, so there’s no dine-in option — but the takeout and delivery experience is absolutely worth it.

I’ve also tried the Chef’s other restaurant, Street Injera, which is another favorite of mine. I gladly drive across town for these dishes, and every trip is worth it. The Chef is a true Flavor Queen, and I’m so grateful to have discovered this gem.“
