I reached out to several Nashville-area bakeries for a custom cake for a friends 30th birthday back in June of 2024. I ended up choosing Ivey Cake because they had the best pricing by FAR and they were great communicators via email. I picked the cake up when scheduled and everything went very smoothly. The cake was a HUGE hit. Not only was it so cute and the details were amazing, but it also tasted wonderful! We chose carrot cake with cream cheese icing for our birthday boy, and it did not disappoint. The cake was moist, the icing was plentiful, and the flavors were excellent. Although I am not local, I would definitely go out of my way to support Ivey Cake again in the future.

As a long-time Brentwood resident, I've wanted to try IveyCake ever since they relocated from Franklin in 2017! As luck would have it, we celebrated my mother-in-law's 80th birthday with a towering custom cake from IveyCake.
And let me tell you. Owner Ivey Childers makes a mean cake! They are literally works of art made by a creative decorator who demands perfection and uses the finest ingredients. The cake is very dense, what our family considers to be the ultimate texture for a cake. The frosting is super thick and very sweet. You can't eat too much at one time, which is probably a good thing.
We had hoped for some sort of confirmation email to let us know the cake was finished. So we showed up on faith alone hoping the cake was ready for our celebration, and there it was! Whew! And not only will IveyCake create your beautiful custom cake, but they even sell cupcakes and small cakes on a daily basis in their adorable little shop. Go check them out!

I needed to get a last minute cake for my grandma’s birthday and was worried I wouldn’t be able to get anything super cute in time, but Ivey cake came to the rescue!! They were able to fit me in for something and they were super accommodating and helpful. They were able to create a cake that exceeded my expectations with only a few reference pics!! The cupcake had no taste to it. My cousin picked it up for a taste test and it felt like we were eating unflavored cornbread. The icing was ok, but they need to go back to the drawing board regarding cake making. On the bright side the price is affordable if you don’t like cake.
