I saw this restaurant on an episode of Tennessee Crossroads on Npt/PBS. I had to come in and check it out, which was delicious. Bring your friends!

The women in my family have been coming here for our birthdays for years and years, so this year, eating here for my birthday was very disappointing. My mother and I shared a reuben with a fruit cup. The reuben was soggy and the fruit cup had a nasty brown pineapple in it. I held it up, grossed out, not knowing our waiter was approaching to ask if everything came out okay. When he appeared behind me, I showed him the pineapple and he just stared at me like he wasn't sure what I expected him to do about it. So nothing was done. No birthday cupcake brought to the table like usual either. Usually our waitresses have been super sweet, but this guy could not be convinced to give a care in the world. We bought a few cookies after lunch and they were tasty as usual. I don't think we'll be back for lunch, but I'll always recommend their sweets counter!

I wasn't pleased with this place we picked for a breakfast spot on our vacation. With the reviews saying how amazing this place is, I was thrilled to have breakfast but walked away less than satisfied. Food looked amazing but tasted mediocre. Spent more money than I would have wanted for the taste and portion of my breakfast. Friendly staff and their bakery did look exquisite.

Brentwood is beyond high maintenance. And don’t be fooled by the 4 star or less reviews. If you read those reviews, they are docking this place for trivial things. The truth is, Puffy Muffin nails every aspect of a first class bakery and brunch style menu. But alas, the Brentwood egotists are gonna hate. Excellent chicken salad! Fantastic hash brown casserole! And the bakery items are top notch. So delectable. I’ve never had anything bad or disappointing here. And if it’s not up to your expectation, they always want to make it right.

I was so disappointed when I went to serve my loaf size poppy seed chicken casserole that I have bought from you over the years from the take and go area and found white rice in the bottom. I was going to serve my own rice like I normally do. You’re charging the same price or more for a casserole with a filler.

Always delicious food with great service in a lovely atmosphere! I organized brunch for 12 ladies and was very impressed at how well Puffy Muffin was able to accommodate our party on short notice.

The Puffy Muffin has an unassuming exterior in a Brentwood strip mall (the real Brentwood, not Brentioch). And if you’ve never been, you’d fail to understand the amazing dishes and bakery items they’re cooking inside.

The Reuben sandwich is excellent with crispy, buttery rye bread, tasty corned beef, and subtle amounts of sauerkraut and dressing. The fries are even better, crispy outside and tender inside with spices. And that rich molasses cookie wins the prize, one of the best cookies in the Nashville area!

I have been coming here for years, and everything is always exceptional. But today blew my mind!!!!!!! This is the first time I have seen this and NO OTHER RESTUARANT HAS EVER DONE THIS : The lovely hostess provided a soft, thick seat cushion for an elderly patron to use while dining.

You just gotta love this people!!!!!!
