This is a change of pace due to the Louisiana style food, but it’s far from the best Cajun food I’ve had. The prices are a little steep on the shrimp tacos, you only get two small tacos but it’s more expensive than the boom boom shrimp poboy sandwich that’s half again more food. The service was not great, she took our order, dropped our food and we had to flag her down in order to get refills and the check. The chips were over cooked and tasted burnt.
I want to see this place make it (LOVE the menu and the atmosphere), but over the past several visits it seems like the food quality is going downhill while the already pretty high prices stay the same. Got the Cajun platter last week and the hush puppies looked and tasted like they had been put through three fryer cycles - just a black hole in the middle where the breading should have been.
