I am on a restricted health diet and one of the hardest parts of eating out is having to deal with all the restrictions. 1885 was more than accommodating for me. They cooked things exactly how I needed them and it was absolutely delicious. You can’t go wrong eating here.

It’s so looooong to get a food. Expect to wait at least 1h from sitting to eating. Greens in salad are withered, sometimes yellow , rather than fresh, first time I see such salad. Grilled chicken was tough, tasted like running athletic rooster Water with lemon was good , the most tasty meal I had Kitchen full of smoke 💨

A bit of a twist with southern fusion and great flavors. I haven't had this good of a flounder sandwich for years. The hoagie style bun was sincere very fresh, flavorful, and tender. It brought out the essence of the flounder. We shared the fresh huspuppies appetizer and were delighted. We enjoyed the food very much.

Not very thrilled with my here, me and my wife visited on Saturday 5/31/25, we were seated at a window seat at back , there were so many dead flies in window it was ridiculous, we places our order and as we did the waiter asked if the fries were OK , as if thats what the burgers comes with Like you would think ,just to find out later that was a 2 dollar up charge instead of the chips or Cole slaw that actually comes with the meal, had to go online later and look at menu to find out why I was charged more, needless to say while we ate our my wife never received another refill, her coke ended up lighter than the watered down sweet tea I was drinking because of of no refill , our waiter apparently became lost because we had to wait longer for the check than we did for food after we ate. Ill go downtown next tike I'm up to eat instead of this place

My fiancé and I had dinner there last night and had the best experience. Ezra was our server and took great care of us. We started with the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and the award winning wings. They were some of the best wings we have ever had. Perfectly seasoned and double fried.
My fiancé had the 1885 Burger and I chose the lightly battered and fried flounder with a side of mac and cheese. His burger looked and tasted amazing. It was a big and juicy burger cooked a perfect medium temp. My flounder we absolutely delicious. So light and fresh. The Mac and cheese was real Mac and cheese. Very creamy and baked with bread crumbs on top. We also really enjoyed cocktails and agree we would give the 1885 grill 5 Stars!

Absolutely 5 stars! Our experience at 1885 Grill Chattanooga was fantastic. Michael, our waiter, was attentive, friendly, and truly made our afternoon special. The award-winning wings were incredible—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The étouffée was rich and satisfying, bursting with taste, while the steak fries practically melted in our mouths. The fried green tomatoes were crispy and absolutely delicious. The drinks were refreshing and balanced, just what we needed. And don’t leave without trying the pecan bread pudding; it's the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. Highly recommend!
