We decided to get lunch here. It's located at a walking distance within the Hamilton place mall. The menu has diverse options. We absolutely loved the gyro and the cocktail here. The starters and the small dessert cookies were delicious as well. Definitely recommend it!
Beautiful restaurant. The eggrolls were delicious. Eggplant stack and the ravioli were so good. On the way out we got some fresh baked goods, definitely recommend. Service was excellent!
Recently, The Acropolis catered an event we had. The service and food were excellent. All my guests enjoyed the menu. I will use them again and want to encourage others to consider their services. Pricing was very reasonable for the amount and quality of food. And congratulations on 30 successful years serving the Chattanooga area!
My favourite restaurant. I love their soups and pastas.
Edit: Still my favourite 2 years later. I generally go for variations on the vegetable lemon pasta, but somehow I look forward to the soup sides most. The tomato basil and Greek lemon soups are both great.
Incredible all around!
A Chattanooga staple for a long time now, Acropolis has great salads, appetizers, and entrees. Do not skip dessert. Their selection is the best in city. Go ahead and save room for one with a coffee. You won’t regret it.
Had dinner at this family owned place. Everything we had was absolutely fresh and delicious - the chicken souvlaki wrap, the lemon pasta with grilled chicken. Enjoyed the warm bread that's almost like a dessert. Service was brisk and friendly. The owner came to our table and chatted with us - told her we wished they had an Atlanta area branch. Very reasonably priced too.
We were seated for 20 minutes but a server never came to our table so we just left.
The service and food were exceptional! The queen of Acropolis was a lovely, engaging lady who monitored everyone's satisfaction! She was engaging and as wonderful as the food! We were celebrating my daughter's 3 year sobriety! It was a family atmosphere. Our waitress was adorable! Everything was perfect! Thank you, Acropolis! That was my first time and it won't be my last!
We live in Georgia and stopped by last weekend for lunch while in Chattanooga. Do yourself a favor, order the lamb lollipops (starters menu), they were FIRE (and the employees there will tell you that it is the best starter they make). I then ordered the Eggplant Napoleon (think Greek version of a high-end eggplant parmesan). I am og Sicilian descent and love fried eggplant, but rarely order it....most places serve it greasy and mushy. This eggplant was spectacular.....crispy on the outside, not greasy at all, with plenty of seasoned artichokes and other veggies. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her dishes as well. I am sad that we are 3+ hours away, as I want to order both dishes again. Service was perfect, atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. Great dessert selection at front. If we are ever back in the area, we will absolutely be dining here again.

Loved it! The food was great and fast. We will be back!
The food was absolutely delicious. The portions are big and the desert is insane. Tasted like a homemade meal straight from Greece. They also had a whole separate vegan menu which my mother was very impressed by. She really liked her meal too and the only complaint was the lack of vegan desserts lol
I can't wait to come back and bring my sister in law because she is vegan too.
Mother’s Day; same thing every year, 5:00 PM is pick hour and they should have learned by now not to overbook, not to overwork staff, and make provision for last minute no-show employees. Poor management and poor time-management. A party of 6 with a 82 y.o. elderly and 2 children, waiting over an hour. Scorn is what I got when manger came to hear my complaint. Dinner was moved to 7:00 PM and the terrace reservation became a makeshift table in the middle of the place. Food finally came except for our elderly’s because they forgot to enter that order, thus we waited another 20/30 minutes. The bill was split into two parts of 3, however they automatically added a 18% gratuity on both, a service charge for big parties, though we received a disservice. Blatantly I stated to the manager “this is our last visit to this place”. And word of mouth is a double edged sword for this kind of business.
5/14
To the manager who replied to my review: you’ve certainly warped the whole situation; you smeared my character just to CYA.
Facts:
No matter who owns the business, it’s a utopia to believe you’re unmistakable.
You need to mature and grow out of your entitled behavior.
You’ve changed the story and embellished it to your advantage.
Learn about businesses: when you are a manager, you are not invincible, rather EVERYTHING IS YOUR FAULT.
You overbooked the place out of greed.
Your staff was overworked and abused.
If your employees call in sick the last minute, is not the customer’s fault.
I never raised my voice; I’m sure you perceived it that way out of guilt.
We waited 1.5 hours.
You failed to grant our reservation outside; tried to sit us on barstools; next, you got a makeshift table from the storage room and placed it in the middle of the way where we were bumped out by every passerby.
I requested extra lemon slices that never came.
We did not have a party arrive 1.5 hours after; that’s your fabrication. That guest arrived with us and had to go out at a given moment due to health issues related to this dinner delayed issue.
But our elderly guest, the first to place an order, didn’t get a plate when everyone else did. She had to wait 30 more minutes because your waiter forgot to add it.
And you had the nerve to impose 18% gratuity to my bill for “extra service”!
The place was a madhouse.
1st rule of business management: “ownership is the essence of leadership”.
I ordered their cheeseburger. It's mediocre, but if I go back I'll get a Greek dish instead.
Evolving menu but keeps your favorites even after decades of business.
