After I was put on hold at the drive through speaker. Sat at there for 20 mins. Guy finally asked if anyone was out there??? Really?? It takes 30-35 just to go to this place anymore.

Ordered the Gyro and fries. It definitely wasn't lamb on the gyro. Not sure what it was but it was marinated to death and despite ordering extra sauce there was zero Tzatziki on the gyro. Had to throw it away. Fries and the Coke were delicious.

Don't go to this one on 58 hwy, drove almost a hr and went to pay with a ankars gift card but they wouldn't take it.. spoke to the manager twice and showed him the Tennessee law on it and still wouldn't accept it.. so instead of giving me my 21$ worth of food that I was getting they are just gonna throw it away..

What happened to your steak in a sack? I ordered this today and it was more like ground beef. It was also old. This is not your usual standard. I paid 16.46 for a sandwich fries and a drink. I've been eating at Ankar Hoagies since the 80's and this is the worst experience I've ever had. I expected a lot better for the price. I won't be back.

Food was good and plentiful. The service at the register was fast but I'm guessing with it being the lunch hour the kitchen was swamped, making them a little behind. The restaurant has a good amount of seating but it did feel a little cramped but it didn't feel intrusive.

They keep doing it right for the last 30 or 40 years to steake in a sack with provolone with onion rings has been a staple

I've been coming here for over 30+years. However lately the owner has health issues and isn't there ask the time like he was back in the day. Now without him around, every visit is a hit or miss place. If they would simply cut up more onions to cook with the meat that goes into a steak in a sack would be great. I'm tired of eating dried out steak in a sack. Chop some onions to cook with that beef and we all can be happy eating there again.

Steak in a sack, add mayo, lettuce and tomato! Support local businesses. Prices are good.

Used to love this place. But it has been getting worse the last few years. Missing items in orders, stale pitas, and dry overcooked meats. If you get a good day, it's great, but it's hit or miss anymore.

Food is usually very good but today I ordered a steak in a sack and a marker was used on the wax paper that covered my sandwich and the marker bled through on the pita. Needless to say I did not eat the portion of the sandwich with the marker that bled through.
