Stopped by today for some brunch. The polish eggs and friend potatoes were phenomenal, we split a slim stack of pancakes as well. Alexa was amazing, she provided us with top notch service.
Funky atmosphere, friendly service and the best breakfast in chattanooga.
Heard local hype about the place and decided to check it out. Restaurant is located in a neighborhood and parking is extremely difficult to find on the road. Despite some suggestions that this was a kid-friendly restaurant, would not recommend bringing children. Decor had disturbing images and themes that scared my kids. Seating is scant so you'll likely be waiting. This is a place for small groups of people who want a quirky, punk themed restaurant and don't mind the inconvenience of parking and waiting for limited seating.
Delicious 1” high pancakes with blueberry butter - this alone makes the trip and wait worth it. You can buy the mix here or locally and grab a shirt or hat. The atmosphere is fun to look at with unique decor. Service is ok, has to wait 10 mins after being seated to meet the waitress; on a Monday holiday it seems they may have been short one waiter but they did a good job overall.
It’s a small indoor service only place with maybe 7 tables and a bar area so expect to wait. We sat at an old school 8-bit gaming table which was cool, but it’s so low I couldn’t get my knees under it so I sat sideways. Fun idea though.
Space is limited and wait times can be a bit long if you insist on sitting inside. We sat outside with our dog; we were seated immediately. Service was quick and attentive.
We ordered the three eggs and bacon and a short stack of pancakes. We opted for the breakfast potatoes with the eggs and bacon. The potatoes were delicious and had little bits of bacon in them.
The pancakes were tall and fluffy. They had a great texture and were not gummy.
Everything was cooked exactly to order/request. The bacon was crispy, not burnt. The eggs over medium were perfect.
Absolutely awesome!!!!
Enjoyed brunch here recently. Super fun menu and cool atmosphere. Although, fairly crowded inside. Service is very slow but the food is delicious. I would go again, just give yourself plenty of time to spend there.
The food was average, and the coffee was cold, but they did make a fresh pot, and it was better. 70s vibe inside and outside dining, but the outside was closed off when we went. There was only 1 waiter, so things did take a while, but he was trying and was very nice which is why I gave service a 4 star.
Pancakes are amazing. Great atmosphere.
It had been quite a while since since I dined at this restaurant, as I don't get to the Northshore very often. I remembered the fabulous breakfast I previously had, so I decided to bring my Date here.
We came at lunchtime. I had an amazing Omelet with Swiss Cheese, Bacon, Onions & Spinach. My Date had the Polish Sausage, Peppers & Mozzarella Cheese Sandwich. Our meals were delicious & prepared perfectly.
Our wonderful server was Alexa. She was very polite, professional & just a Sweetheart. She took care of our every need. Thank you Alexa!
My friend and I went to the Chattanooga location on cinco de mayo and had an amazing breakfast! We were seated right away, the staff were kind and attentive! Even complemented the lady who I found out made the addictive blueberry topping! Yum!! All kinds of cool decor to look at! Cute patio area for outdoor dining! Had a hot earl grey tea (they even had honey, big win) and the short stack w the blueberry topping! Delish! Would highly recommend

Definitely a hole in the wall restaurant! Breakfast was really good either then my overcooked eggs, I asked for over medium and definitely got over well . so I didn't eat them. NO PARKING whatsoever. Has more seating outside then inside. 38$$ for 2 people and we didn't even get charged a drink .
Amazing from beginning to end!! The food was hot and plentiful. Blake showed us beautiful hospitality!! Friendly, thorough and all around awesome sauce is Blake!! Thank you from your new friends with Mako the chihuahua!!
No complaints! All was great. We got the Short Stack (2 of their famous THICK panCAKES) & The Polish Eggs (w potatoes) & a side of their FANTASTIC bacon, which was PERFECTLY cooked crispy, yet NOT burnt! 🫡 Went Monday, abt 9:30am & were seated immediately. Staff was very pleasant & helpful. Highly recommended. Hope to come back to Chattanooga very soon to try their lunch offerings.
5 Stars – Funky, Fun, and Delicious!
We went to Aretha Frankenstein’s for breakfast after our Airbnb host, a Chattanooga native, recommended it — and wow, what a spot! The vibe is electric (literally and figuratively!) with funky, eclectic decor everywhere you look. You could spend hours just taking it all in.
The food was absolutely fantastic — hearty, flavorful, and fun. The service was just as great — super friendly and made us feel right at home. You can tell this place has a lot of heart and great vibes.
If you’re looking for a breakfast that’s way more memorable than your standard diner stop, don’t miss Aretha Frankenstein’s. It’s a whole experience, not just a meal. We loved it, and want to come back for lunch next time we visit Chattanooga.
The food was OK … we didn’t really get what all the hype is for
