I grew up in a family that would travel 50 miles one way at least 2 Sundays a month to eat at Bea's. There was never fewer than 8-10 of us. It was something we all looked forward to. It was amazing. The food was always delicious, the staff was always friendly and we always enjoyed it. When my daughter turned 16 she wanted to eat at Bea's for her birthday dinner. That was 15 years ago. Since then our family has been a few times when we were in the area. Unfortunately the last few times we have been it has been progressively worse each time. The last time for 3 people it was almost $80. I understand that everything is higher these days and I don't mind paying for something if it is worth it. This was not worth $80. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked for hours, the vegetables were the same. It was on a Friday and there was fish on the table and it was better than anything else. The best thing about the meal was the rolls. Very disappointing. Probably won't be back.

Kirsten did an amazing job as our server, and said she has only been working there for a month. I’ve been coming here since the 70’s and it’s always good, and Kirsten made our cisit a pleasure. Thank you dear!

Food was great, and the waiter was wonderful; however, I did not enjoy the unpleasant odor when walking in.

The food was very good! It's an old fashioned home style restaurant, not a fancy hipster joint. We'll eat here again the next time in Chattanooga!

All you can eat and I mean ALL you can eat. They bring all of the food on the menu out in table appropriate sized servings.
Good Ole fashion home cooking.

Food was OK, wouldn't have to go back, wasn't very impressed.
We loved this southern style restaurant! The fried chicken is delicious!!! Collard greens, potatoes and gravy, vinegar beets, potato salad, corn muffins, beef brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, iced tea and water is what you can expect on a rotating dining table. It's like stepping back in time, which we appreciate, when families still sat down together and had a wholesome meal and good conversation.
The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Parking is somewhat limited but is free. Pricing is reasonable for the amount of food you get.
I highly recommend this eatery!

Prices could be lower if they would start asking customers what they want! For instance my mom nor I touched the corn, brisket or whatever it was, nor the greens yet they have to be thrown away due to laws!
Only 1 type of dessert. There should be more because not everyone likes peach cobbler myself included so I had no dessert at all yet it’s included in the price of my meal!
The fried chicken, rolls, slaw & beets were delicious

It's good and bad that this place is so far away. We would end up eating here way too much! You know a place is good if they can make breast chicken taste tender. The chicken dumplings were awesome. The homemade pickled beets brought me back to a place I have not been in a long time. The fried okra was perfect (best we have ever had). The collard greens and pinto beans were great. They could take some of the BBQ chicken and slaw and throw it on the homemade rolls and sell those as sliders out side and make a killing. The only thing that needed some help was the peach cobbler (deserts are different each day). It needed some more cinnamon and a thicker crispy crust (best one we have found was Bishops in Franklin TN). So if we ever drive back through Chattanooga, we WILL be stopping for some more great southern food!

Great southern home cooking & the bowls were never empty 😋. If you leave there hungry it's your own fault.
