I always prefer the “made from scratch” & “Mom and Pop” type places instead of the big name restaurants. I happen to be looking at a Chattanooga magazine at my daughter‘s house while visiting last week and ran across a little feature on the Bluegrass Grill. Knowing I would be taking one of my daughters to lunch for her birthday while visiting, this sounded like the perfect place to try. And by golly, it certainly was the perfect place! Both of my daughters and I really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict and were pretty picky about our hollandaise sauce. My three grandsons enjoyed their pancakes and French toast and one took a chance at the jalapeño bacon and loved it. My daughters have lived in the area for several years but neither had been there before. I know they will be back and so will I during future visits! And reading the story behind the grill. What a blessing your history has been to so many people! Thank you for your compassion and your heart’s mission. That made the visit to the Bluegrass Grill even more special! God Bless you all!
Bluegrass Grill is a local gem! Friendly staff, incredible food, and a warm, welcoming vibe. Definitely a must for brunch lovers.

Came in today for brunch and just had to share the unfortunate negative experience with the food. I will say though, the service was good; from the hostess to our waitress very friendly and attentive. It’s just the food man - particularly the home fries for two of our orders were room temp and extremely over salted. I like salt on my food but we couldn’t get past the first bite. We also had two separate orders of bacon one of which was jalapeno bacon that was really dusted in BBQ style rub and tasted nothing like jalapenos but that didnt really bother us. What was unfortunate about the bacon was that it too was room temp and soggy. Like no crisp whatsoever and seemed like it might have been cooked before opening and sat too long without sufficient heat. Separately, my wife ordered “adult grilled cheese” special which she said was bland, barely toasted bread and more soggy bacon. For me i ordered the breakfast burrito which was also bland. It was supposed to have an egg inside of it but I could barely find any or perhaps the bean to egg ratio was 100:1 and thats why? Not sure. The cold brew was actually great and my kids enjoyed the pancakes so not a total loss. I understand this is a very popular place so perhaps it was an off day. Not sure we’ll be back any time soon though.

The food was very tasty! I ended up ordering a biscuit to go because I heard they were to die for! I love the atmosphere. It is family style seating but that was great for us as we chatted with the people we sat with.

We were not blown away with our visit to Bluegrass. The service was great but the food was lack luster. I enjoyed the environment and community vibe as well!
We ordered a Mediterranean frittata with grits and crispy potatoes. The frittata was great and super full of veggies and cheese. I did not enjoy the grits at all. We also ordered a special with egg and coffee bacon on a jalapeño bun. It was ok. Overall we just thought the food was mediocre. I left still hungry which is never a goal.

Specials stay fresh and food made with love!
SO great. Everything on the menu is fantastic. Lots of options for special dietary needs without compromising flavor.
I was very disappointed in this place, and will not go back. We were told the wait would be 15 minutes. That turned into 35 minutes. Then the hostess put up a small notification that the grill was broken. We finally got a table and placed our order. 20 minutes later the waitress informed us that the grill was going to be worked on. She said she couldn’t give us an estimated time for our food . The parking meter texted me that my session was ending soon. So I had paid for an hour and it was up. Charged us for a cup of coffee and said sorry. I will never step foot in this place again. I’m from Louisiana so it won’t be a problem. Sorry not sorry.

You'll wait an hour for really underwhelming food, unless youre a hipster. Also if you want to sit at a table with just your group, you'll be told that the community table is an individual table for your group.
