Since 2018 the wife & I have frequented Bridgeman's. We have never been disappointed by the staff & more importantly the food. Sadly life is moving us down to Florida but future forward when back in Chattanooga area we will come to Bridgeman's to eat & hopefully Derrick will still be there as he has for so many years taking care of us.
Perfect for a special occasion
I took my girlfriend and her family out here for dinner last night and it was all fabulous and tasty and so lovely. This is my second time coming here and the staff is very friendly and extremely professional and such a perfect place to have a fancy dinner date or special anniversary dinner.
5 Stars – Exceptional Service from Paul G!
We had an outstanding dining experience at Bridgeman’s Chophouse, and Paul G made it truly unforgettable. From the moment we were seated, Paul was attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly professional. He guided us through the menu with confidence, offered excellent wine pairings, and made sure every detail of our meal was perfect. His friendly personality and top-tier service elevated the entire evening. If you’re dining here, definitely ask for Paul G—you won’t be disappointed. We’ll be back soon!
Filet was tender, juicy and cooked perfectly.
This is my 3rd visit to Bridgemans and it has definitely gone downhill since my previous two. I can no longer recommend this restaurant, and it makes me sad.! The service was awful and the steak was worse. I also heard ppl complaining all around me. I’ll check future reviews to see if anything changes, but it definitely wasn’t worth the spend!
The dining room is gorgeous and service impeccable. Eugene, our waiter, recommended the tomahawk steak with Brussels sprouts and house cut fries. The food and martinis were fabulous!!
Crab cake, salads and shareable mashed potatoes were excellent. Our steaks were undercooked and mine was tough and very chewy. Ordered coffee and crème brûlée for dessert; coffee came and was gone or cold before the crème brûlée ever came. Not at all what I would expect from a restaurant of this hype. Actually the worst experience we had at the Read House Hotel.
Amazing all across the board. The ambiance, food, service were all top tier! Celebrated a 40th birthday dinner and Kirk really assisted me in making this night perfect. Truly amazing team and establishment, we can’t wait to come back.
Jeffrey ensured our first visit experience was amazing. We tried the Tuna and Crab Cakes for our appetizers while enjoying an old fashioned and peach drink from the bar. Then we dove into the bone in ribeye accompanied with truffle mac and Brussel sprouts. 100% worth the visit and will be back to try the seafood tower.

I am giving this 1 star because it was mediocre food at great food prices. We had the seared tuna and crab cakes for appetizer. Both were just ok. The crab cakes had too much breading and the tuna was bland. The steaks that came with the main course were good but not great. The white truffle mac and cheese was salty but delicious (the only saving grace of the meal). The brussel sprouts were terrible (worst part of the meal).
Took my wife for an experience. Bridgeman's Chophouse delivered in a big way!! We were treated like royalty and had food prepared perfectly!!!!
Cassie was an amazing server. only issue was we both ordered filets my husbands was perfect how it was cooked the flavor and you could cut it with a knife. I order mine medium rare it came to no pink at all way over cooked. I sent it back the middle was medium rare but it was burnt on the outside did not have the flavor or the tenderness that my husband’s had. But they did take mine off so that was appreciated but sad a high end restaurant had to do this I would have rather paid for a great steak. The cream brûlée was outstanding
During our recent visit to Chattanooga, we had the pleasure of dining at Bridgeman's Chophouse. Being from out of town and staying at The Read House Hotel, its convenient location was a definite plus. However, what truly stood out was not just the ease of access but the exceptional service and delectable food that awaited us.
Meeting up with friends, we were greeted warmly upon arrival, setting the tone for a wonderful evening. The ambiance of Bridgeman's Chophouse complemented our gathering perfectly, offering a cozy yet elegant setting. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring we felt welcomed and well cared for throughout our meal.
The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was crafted with precision, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. It's rare to find a restaurant that excels in both service and cuisine, but Bridgeman's Chophouse delivered on all fronts.
In conclusion, our dining experience was everything we hoped for and more. Whether you're a local or visiting Chattanooga, Bridgeman's Chophouse is a must-visit. We left with full hearts and satisfied appetites, eager to return on our next trip!
The total experience was absolutely great. Food, waiters, & All was fabulous. Will totally visit again. Exceptional quality and experience
