Dan went above and beyond for my daughter’s cake! I said “boujie SpongeBob” and he said, ‘Let’s do it!’ He is so friendly, a true professional, and I am so thankful to him and his expertise!!

We got married September 20th and Dan the Cakeman made our beautiful and delicious wedding cake and gluten free cupcakes. It was an all around amazing experience working with Dan from the tasting to the wedding day! He is so kind, the cake was stunning and it tasted absolutely delightful! I can't wait to dig into our top tier on our one year anniversary :) Thank you so much Dan!

We hired Dan to make the cake for our wedding Saturday and it was a great experience. The cake tasting and consultation was fun, and any communication in between ordering and day-of was smooth. The cake turned out beautiful - we got compliments all night. Oh! It also tasted great!! I highly recommend this company. Final note - our reception was in a covered outdoor venue in July, and the cake didn't melt or lose visual appeal at all in between delivery and when it was served.

Dan the Cakeman is amazing, as is his business partner Pam. For our wedding, Dan made the cake and Pam catered for us, and we could not have been happier with our experience! Thank you so much!

Dan the Cakeman is the absolute sweetest and best baker! We got married in September and he made our amazing wedding cake (2 layers-red velvet cake with cream cheese icing and chocolate cake with chocolate icing all covered in buttercream icing), 3 different types of cookies (chocolate chip, sugar and macadamia nut) and cupcakes (wedding cake with vanilla buttercream icing) and they were all so good! Our guests have since talked about our desserts and how good they were! We didn't have much left, everyone loved all the options! Dan was so easy to work with and he was able to bring my vision to life. We wanted two things out of our desserts, to look pretty and taste amazing and he did just that! He has our business for life!

Unfortunately we did not get to try Dans cake. When we initially reached out for a wedding cake quote and Dan called us in no time. He talked us through the process in deciding flavor and size, and we agreed on the perfect cake. It sounded even better than we’d hoped and the price was unbeatable! We were smitten by Dans character, and were so excited for our wedding cake. Unfortunately our wedding was canceled last minute due to my father’s death and so we reached out to see if we could get a refund. He wasn’t able to provide one, which is perfectly fair, so we asked if it could be donated, perhaps to the children’s hospital. Dan recommended instead donating cupcakes to Ronald McDonald House for thanksgiving. While we may not get to try one of Dans fabulous cakes, we were so grateful to have worked with him. I would take my business to Dan any time and highly recommend you do too. Thanks Dan!

Dan the cake man dropped off two amazing layered cakes to the nurses at Parkridge East Hospital for a nurses' day gift and we can't thank him enough! What a sweet and thoughtful surprise! The flavor was amazing!! I will tell everyone I know how great the work at Cakemakers etc is! Thank you so much for the love you show your community.

So happy with our cake tasting! We get married in March and cannot wait to see our wedding cake & grooms cake! Dan made the experience fun with no stress. He is so professional and intentional. We cannot wait for the big day!

Cakemakers made my daughter a Turkey cake; her b-day was on Thanksgiving this year. It was so beautiful! We got a marble cake and it was fantastic! The icing was deliciousness. Perfect!
