A beacon in the cold dark! After Dow is a long day at the hospital and on the way back to hospital for the night - I pulled in. Welcomed by a super sweet staff and after getting the recommended catfish - and holiday Cranberry Margarita - I was in a much better place. Thanks to all for making a hard day a whole lot easier. So if you are in the neighborhood - stop. You’ll be glad you did.

UPDATE!!
Emma was very professional, kind, attentive, kept checking on us, offered a bag and boxes, fun she was all green flags and made mine and my husbands dinning experience a very nice one. We have been here a couple of times and Emma has been the best so far, so good that it made me want to write a review. GO EMMA! (We didn’t like the beans, but that’s nothing against Emma😅)
OH AND THE FRIED PICKLES OMG MY FAVORITE!!!

Came back again and Emily was awesome! We have found two great servers! Won’t name the one we didn’t like and for the first time had to get a manager involved but doesn’t really matter anymore. Food was great as usual. Again, thank you Emily for giving us such a great time. She also recommended the Christmas drinks and they did not disappoint.

This place really surprised me. I saw it as a hole in the wall but the chicken and green beans were seasoned to the gawds, and that made me forget about the atmosphere. Not so much for the potato salad. The seasoning just sat on top of the potato salad. Ehh

Recently I saw a disparaging review of the service at the downtown MLK Blvd Champys. I can attest, as someone who frequents the restaurant 3 to 4 times a week, that the service from EVERY member of any Champy's location, is nothing but STELLAR! Thanks in particular to Mattie, Abigail, Sierra, and all the staff- Pax Tibi and thank you all!

Excellent food. Fast service. Kayla was a great server. Extremely attentive and wanted to be sure our order was right. She checked in with us several times. We will be back!

We ate here for lunch with our family. The food was all on point. Between our group, we had the tamales, the fried chicken, and the catfish and all were excellent. Also the Mac and cheese was very yummy. It’s a fun environment, and waitress was very kind and did a great job. I will mention that the bathroom has some things written on the walls and some photos of men that you might not want your little to be exposed to. Other than that, enjoyed our visit a lot.

Three of us went for a casual dinner on a Monday night. We ordered fried chicken, chicken livers, and catfish. All were delicious. Plates were so big, we brought home enough for lunch the next day. Sides of fires, slaw, and baked beans were also good. Service was prompt, efficient, and friendly. Can’t wait to go back.

My family recently dined at Champy's World Famous Fried Chicken in Chattanooga, and it was an absolute delight! The vibrant, welcoming vibe instantly set the tone for a fantastic meal, complete with a quirky selection of 40 oz beers that added a fun twist to the experience although we didn't partake. I ordered the Half a Chicken Plate, which came with a perfectly crispy breast, thigh, wing, and leg. Each piece was fried to golden perfection, juicy on the inside with a flavorful, well-seasoned crust. The baked beans and slaw on the side were homemade and bursting with flavor--the beans had a smoky-sweet depth, and the slaw was crisp and refreshing, balancing the richness of the chicken. My wife opted for the Traditional Chicken Sandwich with fries, and it was a classic done to perfection. The chicken was crunchy yet succulent, served on a soft bun with all the right fixings, and the fries were golden and addictive. We also shared the Chicken Livers, a bold choice that didn't disappoint--crispy, savory, and cooked just right, they were a highlight for adventurous eaters like us. My daughter raved about her Fried Chicken Salad, which was topped with tender, freshly fried chicken and drizzled with a tangy honey mustard dressing that tied it all together beautifully. Every dish felt like it was made with care, and the portions were generous. Champy's delivers on its reputation for incredible food and a lively atmosphere. It's a must-visit in Chattanooga for anyone craving soulful, Southern fried chicken done right. We'll definitely be back!
