Just happened upon them gem in Red Bank. The area is really progressing to have this chill eatery/lounge.- Laid back crowd with good food. The burger especially since I challenged them on the quality and definitely showed me up. Will have to try the other food.- Downstairs area with couches, board games (request for Connect 4), and even newish arcade games I've never seen. Good outside area with lights overhead to eat too.Winning combo of an establishment and I'll be back for burgers and more food.

Its just a five star place all around. The food is exceptional and the best part by far! I'm a burger causeur and I have to say, The Gubernator does not disappoint! The flavors are so robust and unique. Simply delicious and finger licking good.

Hole in the wall. This place is a perfect choice for any outting or date night. Very nice, modern design throughout the entire building. Food was delicious, and the menu items were well thought out. The arcsde area in the basement is super neat too. Will be coming back for sure.

After figuring out of parking we walked in downstairs to the district and strong smells of smoking. We turned around and left. We had been looking forward to trying this place.

Space is much bigger inside than the outside suggests. Parking seems odd, but once you figure out where it is, it isn't bad, but lot is small. Nice drink selection - something there for everyone.Downstairs has a cool 80's basement feel with some great selection of arcade games - deathball and killer queen are there which is awesome.Food- the most important part. On point and exceeded my expectations. Tried the hottie totties and definitely recommend. My man on the grill serves then up right. Top 3 I've had in town for sure (I hear Tremont has a bounty out for this man) . Smash burger was awesome with homemade pickles and more legendary tots.Looking forward to spending some more time outback during the summer. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, they have gone down hill since first opening. Food is meh now, service is nonexistent unless you sit at the bar top, and cocktails are hit or miss depending on the bartender.I really liked this restaurant when it first opened and felt it was a great addition to Red Bank. I hope they can turn things around, as the community could really benefit from a local hang out.

We stopped in on a weeknight, a party of 6. The bartender was seemingly the only person upstairs. She had 3 or 4 people at the bar but also had 3 other tables. We grabbed menus, and she was so busy that we needed to put in our orders for drinks ourselves at the bar and also for entrees. The food was really stupendous, a little spicy but not insurmountable. Also, by the time we left, the bar area was absolutely packed! I would recommend this place for happy hour and appetizers 100%. For sit-down drinks and dinner not as much, maybe they staff more of the weekends? But the food was out of this world delicious, and I would highly recommend this place for a quick bite and beer!!! ?

We just busted the other night, my son and I. Food was bar food, but GOOOD. Very well done, thoughtful, and satisfying. Yes, it was bar food, salty, greasy and outstandingly delicious. I got the loaded Tots, my boy got the Korean style nachos. Both were fantastic, and the arcade cabinets were so very fun to play. The staff was very professional, knowledgeable about the drink menu and food, and they crafted a stellar MOCKTAIL for my kid. We will definitely be going back!Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming to my boy, even though it was late in the evening. It's hard to find places that welcome kids later in the day, and we are night owls, so this was an awesome experience!
