Fun place to grab a bite and or drinks while waiting for a show. We got there early and were able to hear the sound check, watch some football and have dinner. Mushroom cheesesteak and the animal fries were really good. Fun place in a renovated area. This whole part of town has a lot to offer, easily walkable.

This brewery had a lot going on. There was a band setting up on an outdoor deck. As we walked inside we heard rowdy cheers and were met by a bunch of Arsenal fans watching soccer on a huge projection screen. Beyond that was an area with chairs and couches with a traditional bar area beyond that. I had a Sunblaze IPA that was very good. I also had the Shadows on the Southern Moon Imperial Stout. This was supposed to be a stout aged in Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace barrels. I was a bit disappointed in this one as I could not tell that it was a barrel aged stout. The atmosphere was great though and it was a fun place to visit.

Went last night to see The Essentials! The venue was great, good lighting, good Bartenders!-(Destiny Tatum)!!! Had a great time. They have about 6 unisex restrooms and this is what the sinks looked like in each....

We've been several times because we enjoy the shows at the barrel house , my husband enjoys their different beers & it's a convenient place to get a bite before a show. We've never had a bad experience with the staff as they're always absolutely amazing . The food has been on the decline recently . I ordered the nachos with carne astada , he ordered the burrito bowl with the same. The chips were beyond stale & the steak had a funny texture & tasted past it's prime.

We came in on a Friday night and had a blast. The bartender is friendly,attentive,and knowledgeable. 10/10 experience can’t wait to come back. Can not recommend Hope enough!

Great experience at Five Wits. I needed something to do while also needing a small dinner so I grabbed a seat at the bar. There was a UT game on so many of the staff were keeping an eye on the TV but that didn’t delay my service needs at all. All of the employees I interacted with were prompt and pleasant. I got a Blackstar which was good as were the garlic Parmesan fries. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area and want a beer. I’ll probably return when I’m in Chattanooga in the future.

Stopped into 5 Wits Brewing and had a good experience overall. The beer was decent—nothing really stood out compared to other local spots—but the service was excellent. Staff was friendly, attentive, and made the visit enjoyable. Worth checking out if you’re downtown and want a relaxed spot with great hospitality.
