The food was ok. It was slow when we went, so the service was great. The beef that I was real fatty. And had more fat the meat. So it totally grossed me out.

An excellent restaurant. The first hint was the salsa. It was actually very spicy. It even had detectable cilantro, which I love. Most, American, Mexican places have exotic ketchup for salsa. The chips were very good. I am not a huge fan of very thin ones. I wish they had been a little more substantial. Especially because of the great salsa. I ordered Carne Asada. It was a nice large steak. There was plenty of condiments that were delicious. I like the guac but it was not the best I have had. Three great tortillas made three super delicious tacos. I loved the beans. The rice was just ok.

Food is far from real hispanic/mexican and even texian mexi food. Server lied about Horchata being real, it is indeed powder and not handmade. The place looks nice I can say that but the food, drinks, the lies, and service definitely lacks. I hope they learn and get better at making proper mexi food and stop lieing

Food is not close to authentic. The drinks are awesome and the bartender was amazing. That margarita was the star. Chips were pretty good, but salsa was out of a jar.

Highly recommend NOT going here. My friend and I were in town for a quick weekend trip and we went to Fonda San Jose thinking it would be great.. we were wrong. The first red flag was that we went on a Friday night at 6:30pm and there were maybe 3 tables filled in the entire restaurant. Looking back now, we should have seen that as a bad sign but we were trying to be hopeful. The cheese dip appetizer was absolutely disgusting and we ended up sending it back. The waiter was very sweet and removed it from our bill. Unfortunately, halfway through our meal, my friend and I BOTH started feeling sick to our stomach’s. I ordered a beef taco and a shredded chicken taco. My friend had the Birria tacos. I’m 100% positive we got food poisoning. The only positive stars that I can give is for the service because our waiter was nice. The food was trash. ?️

We are visiting from Florida and OMGOSH this was a great find. From the service.. our waitress was amazing and couldn’t have asked for any better… to the food which was drool worthy… I have all good things to say. Sangria was delicious, birria tacos top notch, and chicken quesadillas were fantastic!
