I got 708 spicy garlic pork. tbh not spicy at all. It was actually really good Chinese food! it’s not over powering but not too oily!

Not sure how they got such a high rating, but the food is terrible. Pork Ribs taste extremely rank. Got the worst sesame chicken I ever ate. For a large container of sesame chicken, you only get a 1/2 a cup of rice.What a joke ! Egg roll taste like it was 2 weeks old-Stale and weird texture.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken through uber eats. The chicken was so dry, there were basically no vegetables/pineapple/etc. normal sweet and sour chicken ingredients, and the sauce had a nasty chemical taste. I will not be returning.

We ordered their Mongolian beef and Pork Lo mein with fried rice, egg drop soup and added pork egg rolls. Everything was delicious, portions were generous! Service was great and prices were very reasonable! We'll definitely return! 👍

We have been pretty frequent customers of Formosa for the last 4 years. It was the only acceptable Chinese restaurant in the Chattanooga area that we found since our move to the area 4 years ago. Although the food was never what we considered to be great, it certainly sufficed. Our visit today left us wondering if the restaurant is under new management. The wait staff, menu and hours have totally changed. The quality of food has significantly declined. One of us ordered Chow Mein and received Chop Suey. When the server was reminded that the order was for chow mein the server replied that they no longer serve Chow Mein and had just changed the order to Chop Suey without asking , we were floored. It took three requests and ten minutes before the server brought us straws for our beverages. The food we received was flavorless amd certainly did not taste as good as on previous visits. When the check arrived it was clear that along with the change in menu, there was a definite change in prices. We were disappointed and will renew our search for good Chinese food in the Chattanooga area.

The staff is nice and the food is alright. My issue is that the price for what you’re getting doesn’t match up. I ordered crab Rangoon and eggrolls because that’s all I wanted. I open up the container of rangoons to find five of them, and half of the container is filled with vegetable garnish. Save the garnish and just give me a bigger portion. All of my Rangoon’s now taste like cabbage because they’ve been stewing in it on the way home.
Lastly, just a small observation is that they don’t give sweet and sour sauce for crab rangoons? I’ve lived in 7 states and gotten take out from high end Chinese restaurants in NYC, to no frills takeaway in small town Louisiana, this is the first one that doesn’t give sweet and sour sauce.

I've only lived in the Chattanooga area for 6 yrs and I've gone here sporadically. Last time was a year ago for my birthday and had a spectacular meal with great service. I've never been so disappointed in a meal as I was tonight. This doesn't even seem like the same restaurant. The service was horrible and food just as bad. I don't know if they are under new ownership or just got new staff and a new cook but I am so disappointed in Formosa.
