Great place to eat. Service was beyond amazing and food was pretty good. Really recommend the drink it was very tasty. I'll probably come back, maybe even later this week to try the breakfast foods and coffee

Very cute place and conveniently located. The staff were all very kind and it was pretty quick for my bf’s coffee to come out. The coffee is
HOT so it’ll be a bit before you can drink it.

3 stars because their physical menus don’t have prices on them in store. You have to scan a QR code, enter your location and then find the drink you want to see what the price would be. If it’s $6 for a 12oz coffee that’s fine! Adding so many steps to the process just makes me want to go elsewhere

Frothy used to be the best latte in town, but recently decided not to have non-fat milk as an option. I used to come every weekend, plus some weekdays, but no more. When I asked, I was told the manager just “decided” but no real reason. I will not be back until non-fat milk is back.

Slow. Loud. Food felt stale.

There was a ridiculously long wait for no apparent reason. It was not crowded/busy and there were maybe 3 orders ahead of mine and I still had to wait for an hour to get my meal. The coffee order alone took about 20 minutes to get to the table but the food/drink was at least tasty.

Food and coffee is good here, although the shrimp and grits are more of a soup than actual grits. The biggest issue is the timeliness of the staff. Waited over 20min for two coffees and and over an hour for two meals. The place was not packed, there just seems to be a lack of care or efficiency from the kitchen.

Food was great.

This is a 2 hour experience though. You’ll want to pay for 3 hours parking.

Awfully long waiting time (after you sit down). Every table in there would agree. I even heard the table next to me inquiring about their food after waiting over an hour and a half. They were not even that busy.

I’m seeing a common trend with the recent reviews.

I usually just come for coffee but this time I decided to try the food and was really disappointed. We waited over an hour for mediocre, bland sandwiches. It was a little busy, but not full, so I really don't know why it took so long to make an egg bagel and turkey sandwich.

I ordered the Monkey Mocha Latte which was great. My issue is there was a communication disconnect between the kitchen and café. I ordered a bacon egg cheese bagel sandwich to go and it was not crowded, I waited over 30 min as nice as they were about it, my sandwich was now cold after sitting on the counter and it barely had bacon on it…after reading the other reviews they had similar experiences as mine.

The food is good. Hence the okay review. The staff, whole different problem. They are all standing around, on phones, forgetting drinks, food in window and forget getting a refill. They need assigned waitresses to the tables. No idea who’s serving you but on top of that, no one actually is. If you don’t address that, people won’t come back.

Specifically *this* Frothy Monkey is one of the few places that gets everything right. I might be a little biased being from Chattanooga… but, the coffee is consistently great, the atmosphere is cozy without feeling crowded, and the staff is friendly and efficient. It’s an easy spot to relax, work, or catch up with friends. A solid go-to coffee shop that always delivers.

Frothy Monkey never disappoints, but the real highlight of my visit was the incredible staff. Erin and Malcolm were absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. They made the experience feel personal and memorable, not rushed or transactional. You can tell they truly care about the guests and take pride in what they do. Great vibes, great service, and great people. Huge shoutout to Erin and Malcolm for making my visit exceptional. I’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I ate here for breakfast with our 2 year old. We arrived at 9 am, with no one waiting ahead of us. It took 15 minutes alone to get seated, then 45 minutes to get food on the table after ordering. The staff is very polite and accommodating, but it feels like you’re watching them all move in slow motion. There is no sense of urgency or prioritization. For example, the waiter came back 15 minutes after taking our order, stating they hadn’t put in our food yet and wanted to know if we wanted to modify one of our meals… what should have been quick breakfast in an hour or less turned into an hour and forty five minute ordeal.
If you want decent food, and don’t mind growing old while you wait for it, eat here.
