Whenever we go up to Chattanooga for the weekend from Atlanta we always stop in at J Mac’s. It’s got this cool retro mid-century modern vibe and has all these sofa and chair configurations so you can hang with friends and feel like you’re in someone’s den. The wine is very good and the owner, John, is just a great easy-going guy who knows a lot about wine.

Sharing plate was great. When my husband asked about organic wine, he got mansplained (by who I believe was the owner) about wine. We have traveled all over the world and especially Europe. We understand wine. We will not be back. Too expensive and condescending.

Awesome place for some wine and small plates. We had the charcuterie and cheese board along with some lovely perseccos and some muddled fig old fashioned.

JMac's is the real speake easy. Hidden gem in plain site. In between wine and cocktails JMac is changing records on a technics direct drive with a Sony tube tuner pushing into mid 70 bose 301's and cerwin vega pushing the base. Cigars in the back, kitchen is on point. Don't miss this spot
