Everything about this place was superb! From the first experience walking through the front doors being met by a staff member, to the perfectly cooked Delmomico steak and creamy cheesecake to our amazing and cheerful waitress Rachel. It all made for an amazing birthday dinner for my wife and I. We will definitely be coming back!

To start out I will give 5 stars for service and 4 stars for the food. We go to Hennen’s a few times a year for birthdays, special events or when the family catching a play or a movie. And when it’s for birthdays or special events it is between 6-10 people in our party.
However just this past year they have instituted a $20 outside dessert fee for bringing a cake. Which happened to be a $26 birthday cake, something that is not on their menu. Considering that the overall bill is usually over $400 it is not something that will break the bank. However it is an insult and a stab in the eye of customers who choose to eat here.
Considering this fee I sadly give the restaurant 1 star. Fortunately there are other eating establishments in Chattanooga that we can take our business to in the future.

Always delicious. A go-to when we visit Chattanooga. One of the best crab cakes anywhere. A perfectly cooked filet with a loaded baked potato and a side of green beans and pan-seared scallops, followed by a perfect crème brûlée. My wife also allowed me a taste of her meatloaf. Very, very good. Our server was Savannah, and she was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful with good suggestions.
We're regulars at Hennens. Brad was a great waiter, providing prompt and cheerful service. We started with shrimp cocktail which was perfectly prepared, chilled and presented. I had seared salmon and my husband had an 8oz filet with Boursin cheese. Delicious! A delightful dining experience.

Ambience was nice. Our server was pretty good, nothing remarkable. The cauliflower and bruschetta appetizers were fantastic. I got the ribeye. It was very tough, burnt on the outside, flavorless, no fat marbling, absolutely poor quality. 1/5 stars on the steak. The desserts were ok at best. Very disappointing entree. Probably wouldn’t go back seeing as you could make a steak exponentially better in your kitchen at home. For $60 it needs to have the wow factor. Very peculiar. Will not be back.
