Service was good.
The food was ok, avocado was brown and nasty looking, and I couldn't believe they even served it.
It took over an hour to get our food.

Excellent wait staff but you can only produce what the kitchen produces. The food was sub-par and lousiest pancakes I've ever had. McDonald's pancakes honestly are better than IHOP which is famously known for pancakes? 🥞
Don't leave the highway for IHOP on Hwy 153, Hixson. If you're traveling Monday through Saturday I would highly suggest Wimpy's in Soddy-Daisy just about 5 to 10 minutes down the road north.

Very slow on service. We went for a late breakfast but by the time we actually got the food it was lunch. The food was ok.

I sit there with my family for a whole 2 hours while our food is sitting there getting touched, they aren't bringing it out, it's getting cold. Horrible.

Place wasn't too busy. Waitress told me to grab my own silverware and follow her. Almost wore a cup of coffee when she dropped it off. It was almost like nobody wanted to be there.

We waited 20 minutes to be seated and over an hour for typical IHOP-quality food. Management, please adequately staff this location--its current state is unacceptable and is not fair to the patrons or staff. We will not be returning.

The food was as expected and the service was good.
I haven't been at an IHOP for a couple of years. Seems like they have made the menu healthier and have fewer items. Also I recall servings being nice and big, this was not it. I am not entirely sure if it was this IHOP or if all of them have changed this drastically. Anyway, the place was packed and perhaps a bit understaffed. Honestly IHOP has lost the breakfast business. I would rather spend the same amount of money for higher quality food.
Service was fine.

IHOP is an American institution. You know what you're getting. Pancakes, eggs, bacon and juice/coffee. It won't be the best you've ever had but it'll be fine.
Parking: There is plenty of parking, more parking than capacity in the restaurant.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.
Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible.

Server smelled like a dumpster, food took over an hour and was still prepared incorrectly.

Food was good, they need to put walls up between the tables and the kitchen though.
Hearing the cooks tell the servers that Avocados are either brown, or unripe with no in-between was annoying.
Hearing it again when a guest sent back their plate because avocado was soft and had slight browning just from time sat in the hot window, was also annoying.
Why avocados are on the mean beats me. You think that'd be a regional exclusive to a region where avocados naturally grow and can be had fresh.
Food was good, after the 50 minutes it took to get it.
I've been here a bit since I like the burgers, but honestly avoid this place on Sundays, Saturdays, and avoid it around Lunch on Friday. Honestly, go to Waffle House if you want breakfast at dinner time, it has the same see-the-cooks "feature" when dining, but you know what you're getting when you go to a Waffle House. I'll honestly just go back to eating at Hardee's since this place always has something going on with it when I'm in Hixson.
Vegetarian options: If you are vegetarian and care about what surface your impossible meat is prepared, avoid this place.
If you are pescatarian just go to a Captain D's or Long John Silvers in Fort Oglethorpe.
If you don't eat pork, and don't want to eat pork fry, stick to pancake and fried items, same issue as vegetarians, it'll be cooked on same surface as pork.
Dietary restrictions: If you have celiac disease, and even cross contact can trigger it, avoid this place. If cross contact doesn't trigger it for you, you'll be fine.
If you have a dairy issue, lactose or otherwise, DON'T get the omelettes, IHOP puts their pancake batter (contains dairy) in with eggs to make omelette batter.
If you have a nut allergy: IHOP doesn't use peanut or soy for it's fryers.
Parking: Just another business that does not have motorcycle parking.
