Food here is always delicious & consistent! We went during the very first week they opened and have been loyal customers since as we’ve never had any issues with food. The customer service has never been the best, but that can typically be overlooked for me if the food speaks for itself. Today, I was disappointed in how much the customer service has declined. We were seated right away, and then overlooked as three other tables were greeted, served water, and their orders placed. We flagged down the waiter to just ask for water and she replied with “we are getting to all of the tables as soon as we can” to which I let her know we have been waiting more than 15 minutes, that we were just asking for water, and that other tables had been served that got there after us. There was no apology offered and she restated in a condescending tone that she would get to us soon.
Super bummed about this! I would have understood if all the tables around us had also been waiting, but that was not the case. Unsure if we’ll be back for a while!

I’ve given Kenny’s several tries now over the years, and every time I go in recent memory it’s the same story. The food is pretty good, the kitchen clearly knows what they’re doing. But the service? Consistently inattentive, rude, and slow. Staff spend more time behind the counter doing busy work or chatting with each other than actually taking care of guests.
I work in hospitality, and nothing about this is hospitable. Service should lead the interaction, set the tone, and make you feel welcome. Here, the guest has to do all the work just to be noticed, and gratuity is still expected. That’s not hospitality, that’s entitlement.
Damn shame, because the food deserves better than to be dragged down by FOH that treats customers like an interruption instead of the point of the business.

Do not get the brisket Ruben. The brisket is cooked completely improperly. If you dont get a big chunk of gaggable fat, you are trying desperately to cut chewy meat that you can not get through. I would have told this to the staff, but they never asked. The rest the sandwich was subpar, but the star and 2-3rds of the sandwich, the brisket, was inedible.

Love coming here but they really need to do something about their water! Everytime I get a glass here it has a weird taste

I don’t know how this place doesn’t have more reviews! We came to Chattanooga for a mini honeymoon trip and it wasn’t on anyone’s list when I asked some locals where their favorite breakfast/brunch spot was. Fortunately…a lot of those spots were closed on Sunday’s or did not open until 10 am and we saw one option-Kenny’s was open! It did not disappoint AT ALL. Delicious food, great coffee, and we loved the cute cafe vibe. We are only a short drive from Atlanta and will definitely be back! 10/10 recommend for a great breakfast/brunch spot!

Amazing coffee. Fantastic beignets. Incredible hash browns.
Prompt. Friendly. Professional. Clean.
If you’re staying at the Moxy, this is where you should have breakfast.

Caroline's the owner of this fine breakfast and lunch Cafe and runs this restaurant near flawlessly it's located in downtown Chattanooga and is house and one of the older 1920ish buildings. If your local or driving around town and haven't tried Kenny's you're missing out.

Relatively small portions for a fairly expensive breakfast. What happened to breakfast in America?

We just had such an incredible breakfast for a group of 6 (4 adults + 2 kiddos.) We hadn’t been to Kenny’s for a few years- this was easily our best meal yet. The new owner, Caroline, nailed it. Everyone loved their food so much, we all had to share bites. The kid’s menu had great variety and the service was lovely + prompt. We can’t wait to come back!
