Have you ever eaten something, thinking you had just started, only to realize, with utter disdain and contempt, that item was finished? We did that with a whole box of donuts. Each cake morsel was spectacular, chocolate glaze (personal favorite ... I'd suggest ordering extra), red velvet, lemon, blueberry, APPLE FRITTER... simply elegant and amazing. We happened to arrive when the donuts were still warm. Would highly recommend.
We were driving on Broad St. and passed Koch's Bakery. We turned around and stopped for a treat. The lady behind the counter was very nice. They didn't have a lot of choices at this time but she said they had been having trouble getting some ingredients. The items they had looked good and fresh. We opted to try some chocolate chunk cookies. They were delicious. We will probably stop again on our next visit.
I'm giving it 3 stars due to its cookies. I picked up doughnuts and cookies and although the doughnuts get 4.5 starts the cookies get a 1. They were hard like a brick and must have been left over from the night before.I have gotten doughnuts here before so they are good with those, but stay away from cookies.
