Let me preface by saying that my husband worked at Longhorn for well over 10 years, so I know how Longhorn rolls. I’ve never had an issue with them at any of the 3 locations I’ve visited. I’m here in Chattanooga for a huge exam tomorrow, and I decided to “treat myself” to my favorite to go order. The chopped steak was ordered medium.

Well…I saw that the meat was charred and I instantly knew that it wasn’t medium. It tasted like a well done hamburger patty. 😩The garlic herb sauce was thick and cold on top of the chopped steak. The mashed potatoes were just short of ice cold. The mushrooms, which is my favorite part, had a weird texture and wasn’t that tender. I’m so sad that I had to warm up my entire plate. I ate it because 1) I need to get to bed before my exam and 2) I was starving after traveling 2 hours for said exam. The brussel sprouts were decent, but it was swimming in the sauce. I was just really disappointed, because I’ve never ever had a bad experience with Longhorn. I hate that the night before my exam was my first bad experience. 😕

I love that Longhorn makes their lunch menu available Monday through Saturday. It’s great that we don’t have to order full size menu options on a Saturday afternoon. I was in that location on Saturday June 26.
We ordered burgers, passing on appetizers in exchange for dessert. Mine came with fries, my companion selected a Caesar salad.
My burger arrived perfectly seasoned and cooked to order. It didn’t need any additional condiments or seasonings. My companion was face first in the salad and barely looked up.
I am not a strawberry person, but my companion is and, frankly, it’s been too hot for chocolate. So we split the strawberry shortcake. This dessert could make me change my mind about strawberries. The layers of sponge were light and not terribly sweet. The strawberries were not overly sweet, the syrup drizzled over the cake was and carried the bulk of the sweetness. This dessert is shareable. It was a refreshing cake and a perfect end to the burgers.
Let me talk about service. I’m terrible with names, but I made sure to remember Alex. He was amazing, polite, knowledgeable and patient. He kept my glass full, made sure we had everything we needed and were satisfied with our orders.
He made sure we felt comfortable and appreciated as customers. That level of service is hard to come by and I appreciate it.
My only “dining” are the hostesses. If you see a customer with a cane and another carrying the left overs, pause your personal conversation and hold the door.

It's either a hit or a miss here. It's never consistent, but when it's good, it's really good!!!

We usually go twice a month for a large steak and split between the two of us. This last time the we got two meals, the steak and salmon. We ate the salmon in the restaurant and took the steak home. The next day we wanted to eat the steak but it was so grisly and tough we had to throw it out. Also $30 down the drain.

Put in a carryout order and picked it up.
Got the combo plate of ribs and Parmesan crusted chicken with broccoli and sweet potato. Also had the onion chips appetizer. Everything was very good. The only issue I would have was that the broccoli was overcooked and close to being mushy.
Still worth going back again!

I've been to other Long Horn in other cities and had great experience. Today, at Long Horn on Gunnbarrel Rd, I ordered a Flo filet. I swear the meat was deep fried and not a filet but came apart like a pot roast. It was the greasest meat that passed as a filet which it was not. I will be fully honest in this review. It wasn't all bad. The sweet potato was very good as well as the salad. The staff were very attentive. I really went for the steak though and should have went to McCallisters for a potato that would have been much less expensive.

I ordered a take out dinner for 8:15pm on 02/14/25 - rib eye steak cooked medium rare with a side of broccoli and a garden salad from the Chattanooga, TN Longhorn. I showed up to Longhorn at 8:13pm, pulled into a ToGo parking spot, and checked in using the text they sent me at 8:08pm. After waiting for over 15 minutes, I finally got out of my car and went into the restaurant to pick up my food. Sure enough, my meal was just sitting at the bar, bagged up and ready to go, but forgotten by the servers. I walked out with my food at 8:34pm, 21 minutes after arriving. Unfortunately, I had already included a tip in the amount I paid - I will not make that mistake again.

When I got home and began to eat, I found my steak was cooked maybe medium well, more likely well done. It was the toughest and dryest rib eye steak I’ve ever had the misfortune of eating. The salad and broccoli were fine - no complaints there. But overall, the “star” of the show was disgusting. I literally fed half of it to my dog because I didn’t want any left overs. Fortunately, there is a Texas Roadhouse and an Outback within 5 minutes of Longhorn - guess I’ll be going there next time.

We went to the Gunbarrel Rd location tonight and had a horrible experience. The women’s restroom was filthy: backed up toilets, toilet paper in the floor, no paper towels. Our waiter could not give us drinks when we arrived because there were no clean glasses. There was a whole contact lens on top of my salad. The waiter could not locate the manager. We waited for sometime for the manager to come to the table and he never did. The staff had no idea where he was. We ended up leaving before we got our entrees. It was an awful experience and we will not be back.

Food was ok. Service was very slow. It was during lunch on a week day but they were not super busy. While the service was slow our waitress was very nice. I would go back but the Cleveland location is superior in all areas.

My first time to eat here the service was not impressive. Waitress did not refill tea. Food was brought and guest received wrong steak. Ordered correctly but kitchen staff cooked wrong one. Waitress took it back instead of leaving it or asking what we wanted to do as it was a better cut of beef. I noticed it when brought to table as it was larger. Should not have said anything about the steak size.

Everything was very good. The food was prepared as ordered and served as quick as was possible. The only issue was with the management not having enough servers for the restaurant. Our waitress had 10 tables and worked very hard to give us the best service she could, considering how understaffed the dining room was.

Our server Alex was fabulous and attentive. He made the experience one of the best eat out dining experiences I've had. Seriously Alex deserves a raise, he made sure we had everything we needed and was attentive throughout the whole meal. He made sure we had everything we needed and the food and service was fantastic.
