I want to start by saying the atmosphere of Mayan Kitchen is top notch. Love the lighting, general setup, and overall theme. However I have two major problems with Mayan Kitchen.
The first is that they wouldn’t let me order the Pollo Loco lunch special even though I ordered before 3. I ended up not getting it because it’s an extra 4 dollars for the Pollo Loco when the lunch special is not going on.
The second issue I have is with the pricing in general. Not even 5 minutes outside of town, you can go to El Agave for the exact same quality of food, and it’s cheaper!
If you want to pay the extra premium for the better atmosphere, that is understandable. However nine times out of ten, I would just go to El Agave for the same quality of food and cheaper prices.

This resturant looks very misleading from the outside !!! Had supper there 2nite and JJ was our server. This young man was PERFECT!!! He suggested items that were spot on and he got us exactly what we needed when we needed them. All the food was cooked to perfection. Got in and was served in a VERY timely fashion and will be back the next time we visited Chatanooga.

The Mayan Kitchen!!!! My love and I walked in on Valentines Day just to enjoy a drink and appetizer before a night out in the town! We walked in and were immediately allowed into the loaded bar area with the equipment, bar tenders, and vibes to accommodate ANY request your mind can think of or tiktok recommend haha. What a delicious Marg and Sangria-Ginger syrup mix! The shredded chicken loaded nachos were also the TALK of our visit to the Mayan Kitchen. They were well served, tasty, and so flavorful. I cannot recommend this tasty, sleek, authentic spot enough! We appreciate the hospitality and smiles we were met with our whole time. Cheers, and hope to visit again soon!

Visiting from out of town on Valentines day and managed to get a table with very little wait. We shared a 32 oz house margarita that had us singing Margaritaville. We decided on the ceviche for an appetizer and it was absolutely delicious and would have been enough for us both for dinner. If we had known how amazing and how much ceviche was served we probably wouldn't have ordered anything else but we were glad we did. For the main course we had the Parillada Chapina for Two and it was simply divine. The tortillas were fresh and definitely the best I ever had. The food was plentiful as we had enough to enjoy it for lunch the next day. The service was prompt, professional and personable. Thank you Mayan Kitchen for an amazing meal and evening.

My husband and I absolutely love Mayan Kitchen! It has become a favorite restaurant for us. Their salsa is clearly homemade and is so delicious. We love the Arrachera meal, as everything has so much flavor. We've taken several people there, as we love it so much. Highly recommend!

Really like this place. The food is so fresh and the price point actually matches the amount of food you get. We always sit at the bar, and there’s a young Latin man with glasses that we just adore, can’t go wrong with 4.50 happy hour marga either!

This is an excellent restaurant and reasonably priced. We spent $100 for two entrées two drinks and a shared dessert. I had the hanger steak which I highly recommend and the churros were excellent.
I love coming here too eat I always order the pozole or a steak plate. Christian always been my server and he does a great job. He makes us feel at home.

We’ve been to many restaurants in Chattanooga over the years, but somehow this was our first visit to Mayan Kitchen—and it definitely won’t be our last.
We were specifically looking to go out for a great steak dinner without spending $50 per person on a single entrée, and Mayan Kitchen absolutely delivered. The food was amazing—high quality, thoughtfully prepared, and full of flavor.
The atmosphere was warm, comfortable, and enjoyable, making it a great spot for a relaxed night out. A big shout-out to our server Adriana, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She made the experience even better.
This may very well become our new go-to place in Chattanooga. Highly recommend.
