My husband and I travel through chattanooga several times a year and always try to find new places to eat and im so happy we found this place!! The lady that took our order at the bar was super friendly and nice! The food was amazing and delicious! I got the fish tacos, I could have eaten 10 of those 🤤 my husband ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and usually you have to put Condiments like mayo on it but this sandwich was absolutely perfect! It needed nothing. We split a thing of fries and the fries ugh I could just eat a basket by myself! They remind me of steak & shake fries if you've ever eaten there. Plus an added super bonus they allow fur babies outside on the patio and inside!

Solid place. Super comfortable vibes with music at the perfect volume to enjoy while still being able to hear the people you’re talking to. Awesome fries and sauce for a great price. The owner is super nice and you wouldn’t expect it but they have a high quality additive free tequila selection. Can’t wait to go back.

First time at Mean Jeen’s today! Oysters with the pineapple mignonette were *chefs kiss* Po’ boy was slammin. Boiled peanuts were worthy of the sketchiest gas station that has the highest yelp reviews in the state (if you don’t know, that’s the highest praise). The owner took care of me, she’s a queen. I most of all suggest the batched white tea shots. They come in cute little airplane bottles (green tea shots are also available). You won’t regret a single thing you have here, but the best part was the vibe. 12/10 stars. Do recommend.
Got cut off after 1 mixed drink and a double shot.

Another great neighborhood bar on Main Street in Chattanooga! Sort of a hip retro vibe going on in here. Really great happy hour specials throughout the week that are unique. Great drinks and food available as well. Also a good sized open patio with a parking lot in the back. definitely worth a look!

Fantastic local spot. The bartender reminded me of my cute niece and was very welcoming. I got the fish tacos to share between me and my husband and loved them. We will make this a regular place.

Mean Jeens is great!! While I wish they had a different cuisine choice for food due to a Mexican restaurant being right next door - I do love some of the other apps on the menu. They have a wonderful happy hour and their drinks are superb. Great regular prices as well in comparison to almost every other cocktail bar in Chattanooga. Great atmosphere. I also love that they have non-alcoholic options as there are times that I want a tasty drink without the booze. We will continue to support this establishment.
Update 6/25/25:::
Their new menu is delicious! They added a great variety of new meals and appetizers to their menu. The nachos are awesome and the chicken sandwich is one of my favorites in Chattanooga. Of course, they maintain delicious drinks. I am excited they added margaritas to their happy hour :)
Way too expensive. $15 for a Po Boy that tasted disgusting, the bread had zero flavor and the meat was not meant to be in a Po Boy. I paid $11 for more than what the Po Boy gave, food wise. Service was good but there were not many options on the menu, if you want a bar and a restaurant the entire menu can’t be mainly drinks! Not very good besides service and surroundings.
