came here with a group of friends and had semi high expectations for the food based off the reviews. They got a little busy, and we waited almost 20 minutes for our meals, in the meantime, I had a Matcha latte which was yummy and very authentic, perfectly frothy and not made with too much milk like other places. my friend and I shared the curry hash bowl and were a little disappointed that there was no sauce to tie in the kale to the dish a bit more, but the curry sweet potatoes were yummy and the chickpeas and sautéed peppers offset it well & it was a really good dish. I also had the salmon bagel which was great, just the right cream cheese ratio and the ingredients were fresh. Could have used a little more salmon but for $11 it's less than i often see it for so that's fair.

This is not Mean Mugs fault-but parking here is atrocious. We circled the parking lot for no joke 30 minutes (so plan ahead). I got the vanilla latte with oatmilk, my wife got the brown sugar latte-hers was better than mine. This place has tons of seating room if you like to do work at a coffee shop.Dietary restrictions: Dairy alternatives

This place was recommended to us so we headed in while visiting family in Chattanooga. We had a sausage egg and cheese croissant and a bacon egg and cheese croissant. They were decently good, not outstanding. We were told to have some pastries, but weren’t feeling like a sugary breakfast. They did look delicious! Next time we are in town, we will for sure head in to get a sampling of their sweet offerings. Hip and cool vibe in the coffee shop. Parking on the street.Parking: Parking on the street. I usually don't leave a bad review but this coffee is absolutely terrible. It was terrible, terrible. My husband sent his back and tried another one and it was just as bad. The employees were nice but the coffee was the worst.

Two and a half stars. I was visiting from out of town & I always want to try local, but unfortunately this place didn't make a great impression. The space is very cool & unique, but the employees were unfriendly and not very willing to help. It was Sunday morning so there was a steady stream of people but it wasn't packed by any means. I very rarely comment on service because I know working in a restaurant is juggling a lot of things, but almost every employee I interacted with had a bad attitude. I went to the counter to ask questions twice and was ignored twice. Really did not feel like they wanted us there. My husband said the coffee was good and I really liked the charcoal lemonade, but the food was below average. His sandwich was pitiful looking, and my biscuit was so dry it crumbled into a hundred pieces trying to eat it. I wish we had tried a different local spot, but maybe we caught them on an off day.
Really lovely location, easy to order a bit of food and hang out for a while. Ok will say, I tried a horchata steamer and it didn't taste the way I thought it would, but it was still good! I think I'll try a chai latte next, they looked really good.

Great coffee and great employees! Also, something I have always loved about Mean Mug is their prices. They always have amazingly fair prices for their food and drinks. A lot of coffee shops have gone way up in prices, but they have stayed so consistent and I appreciate that so much.
