This is the best food!!!! East Ridge if you are not eating here, you are missing out. My word this was great.

I ordered the sweet and salty , which says on the menu is a burger between 2 Belgian waffles. I got an unseasoned patty between 2 Eggo's. I really could not believe it. I didn't want to say anything because our server had a baby strapped to her back. Totally unacceptable. That was as off-putting as the burger. I could not have been more disappointed. I took a picture of it but can't figure out how to attach it to this review.

My husband and I had the daily special (meatloaf) with sides of mashed potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, and corn bread. They have a BBQ sauce on the side for the meatloaf. Our daughter had the cheeseburger with fries. Staff are very friendly, and we had plenty to drink. Glad we stopped by. 45 and 33 1/3 records are used as part of the decorations.

My food was good but the others were not impressed with what they got. The menu was out-dated having itens no longer carried and innacurate pricings listed. Was fine for the once, would not go again.

Fried chicken breast with white gravy was delicious! Turnip greens and okra hit the spot. We both left happy and satisfied. next time I want to try the Dirty ? Burger.

It the best homemade food in town and the prices are not bad at all. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you haven’t been yet. Simply delicious!

We thought we would try Melodee's. The first time we stopped a sign on the door said closed due to staffing. Next time we called restaurant closed. We should have taken that as an omen to stay away but we didn't. We stopped in for a late lunch big mistake! Service was bad, waitress busy taking care of a baby instead of waiting on customers. Food was not good and when we got the check, wow. For 2 -3 veggie plates $30. That's a lot to pay for can veggies. Never will we stop there again.

Family values are clearly important here. The owner offered for the waitress to bring her 9 month old baby to work with her. She waits tables well with a baby strapped to her belly. She is twice as tough as I will ever be!

Service was bad and food was worse. Prices are way too much for veggies. I can go to a buffet where you eat all you want and not pay as much as I paid here. Want be back here to eat.

Neat restaurant, cool vibe inside and friendly staff. Good options on the menu, service was a little on the slow side (I suspect they may be understaffed like a lot of places now). Still have to recommend- this is a cool place.

Disappointing. VERY limited menu for some reason. Only two employees (cook and server). Food was barely warm.

I really wanted to like this place based on what some people I know have said, but I give up. First time I was there, I was given shredded chicken which was suppose to be their chicken casserole, so I decided I would wait awhile before going back, tried again on June 16th 2022, I should have known something was wrong when there were no customers, only employees sitting near the front door, of course to be fair, it was 3:00. Was seated and brought a sweet tea, tried to order the chicken casserole, they were out, tried to order the shrimp, they were out, tried to order the chicken salad, they were out. Finally got irritated and ask the waitress what on their menu did they even have, her reply was "we have our sides" first of all if she knew all the items they were out of, why didn't she just tell me what they were out of instead of letting me keep trying to find something? Second of all- instead of the employees sitting around laughing and talking, why were they not writing down what they were out of so they could give it to any customer that came in? And last but not least, I decided to leave, so to add salt to the wound, I got charged over $2 for a glass of tea that I didn't even finish! That was some BS! This place is ridiculous! I can't believe this place is still open

I have eaten here 2 times and both times the food was great !! You can roll through a fast food place and get a 10 dollar meal that is full of sodium... or you could go get a 10 dollar burger that's a real burger that tastes amazing at melodees ... I'm choosing them help a small business grow and get great food it's a win win situation!! Love this place

Let's hope they can chalk it up to an off night.1) I was seated and then waited 'way too long' before someone even came to get a drink order.2) I was thrilled to hear that they had Carrot cake, only to find out that they were out.3) I ordered the Melodee Sweet & Salty which was to come with the "Sweet" being a waffle as a bun.......which they did not have either.4) Accepted the change from waffle to regular bun, since I was asked.5) Had ordered Onion Rings and was given Chips (since they ALSO didn't have onion rings.6) I wasn't checked on at all or I would have told them that the home made chips tasted like burnt oil.I find it absurd that someone in the kitchen merely makes the decision for you on what to substitute without even asking what else you may want instead. (Maybe I'm asking WAY too much for service these days, but I've had FAR better service in a hundred other dives across this nation)All in all, it was a learning experience for me on where NOT to eat. I travel a lot for work and usually eat out at least 4-5 times per week.

When you step into Melodee's Diner, you'll be transported to a rustic country setting with barnwood and tin walls decorated with album covers and records that dishes up traditional country comfort food. It is quite a surprise as the outside does not give away the charm that awaits inside. My husband had the open faced roast beef sandwich, which had Texas toast topped with mashed potatoes, roast beef, then smothered with gravy. The roast beef was fall off the fork tender with a rich sauce that added flavor but did not overpower the beef. I had the grilled pimento cheese sandwich, which had a generous portion of pimento cheese that was grilled on Texas toast. The pimento cheese was more on the mild side but paired well with the toast. For dessert we had the peach cobbler. It was made in the traditional way with a slightly salty biscuit then topped with warm, mildly sweet peaches. The texture and taste complemented each other well. I will note that we arrived at 12:30 and they were already out of some house favorites. Some interesting burger options on the menu and we will return to sample those. Lunch for two with dessert came in under $23 not including tip.
